Stiches, wound And Healing by pohpe: 9:08am On Feb 18, 2012
Please doctors in the house kindly advise me on what to do about my situation.I sustain a wound just below my knee and it was
stitched but after a week when the stitches was removed the wound didnt closed up as expected. Now i was advised to be dressing
it and doing that alone looks like it will take a long time to heal.
Are there other alternatives in this situation that can improve the healing fast? Thanks

Normally, a week is ok for stitches to (remove butin some case ,I would recommend more day. A quick question? Did u notice the wound was opened when the stiches were removed? Has there been any physical truma to the area. Also will like to know if the
Dressings usually stained red after stiches removed? If yes, I would advised that u go back to the hospital and have it looked at and if needed , it may be re-stitch and if such a case, the possibility of infection is reduced
