So we spend a lot of time on the islamic threads . . . but i just wondered, what happened to the days of Kenneth Hagin, Federick KC Price Snr and co? Men whom God used mightily to teach us the REAL word of God.

I was listening to a sermon this morning titled : the devil is after my shout.

What is the meaning of this sermon? Where in the bible did Jesus Christ or the apostles declare that shouting chases away the devil? Why would the devil be after my shout if i am merely shouting because i saw a scary spider?
What has happened to our "christians" today? We dress anyhow to church, holiness has flown out of the window, we are no longer examples unto the unbelievers, forget about being an example to the brethren.

All i hear these days is that i should shout loudly so the devil does not steal it!! The devil is a spirit, how can an empty carnal shout be effective against him? What happened to the name of Jesus Christ ?

I will post more funny "gospels" my ears have been forced to endure these days.

You know, i've been thinking about this write-up way way back. Truth is, no one's interested in the Scriptures. . .everyone wants something. . .something like succour to deal with the daily hardships they face, this is in respect to naija. The result? Materialism is emphasised instead of the core messages.

Nowadays, i'm pretty selective about the churches/fellowships i go to especially in school (since i don't give a rat's ass about this denominational crap). If i see there's more emphasis on "prosperity", "my God is a God of dollars" - i start to get wary of the church and it's more advisable u move out.

Never before have we needed men of God in the pulpit as in these days. We've outsinned Sodom and Gomorrah 25 years ago already. God said, if you could break my covenant with the night and day, then my covenant with David can be broken. The first part has been fulfilled in Jesus. In the second part, God promises that He will never lack ministers (Levites) to minister before Him. In spite of all those who are quitting the ministry, God is still raising up His Levitical Priesthood. There are two streams, 2 concurrent types of priesthoods. Ezekiel prophesied that in the last days there'll be two kinds of congregations, preachers and ministers. There will be those who minister unto God. In Ez 40-44, Ezekiel has the vision of a great temple that was to be built. That is not a physical temple, because it stretches over lands and seas and mountains. He is talking about the church of the last days. He sees the church as having no boundaries. And the glory of the Lord is coming down on that house/temple. But Ezekiel saw a strange, horrifying sight. Despite the glory, a rebellious priesthood came forth. The Levitical priesthood were to guard and cleanse the gates of the tabernacle. Nothing evil was to be allowed into the temple.

Somebody said its all Christian Psychology. All we now have is one 'psychologist' standing on a pulpit with an open bible, softly chanting sigmund freud mantras and messing with the head of his listeners. He gives them Just enuff to get them thru the week till they come back on sunday.

One thing i am praying for when God eventually calls me to start His work full time is to have the annointing of the Apostles like Peter and Paul and a few men of God of our times.

You hardly see these days a man of God preaching and people crying under the annointing being convicted of their unholy lives.
You hardly see these days a MOG preaching and miracles happening while he is just teaching/preaching without any special prayers being held -i.e., God confirming His Words with signs and Wonders
You hardly see these days MOGs declaring prophecies / visions of the Lord over cities, peoples and nations.
You hardly see these days christians with passion to go into the hinterlands to spread the gospel under all odds!

So many 'hardly sees'

The white man that brought christianity is abandoning it thereby throwing up the task of the blacks taking it back to them.

God help us.

May God call you according to His grace for the task He has for you.

More than that, as you consider receiving same calling as Paul, may He give you a strong back to endure forty lashes save one (2 Cor. 11:24); three beatings with rods (vs. 25); and all kinds of perils that may come your way (esp. perils among false brethren - vs. 26). You go fit endure?

If you're considering that of Peter's calling, may God give you the strength of heart when people lie to make you the first Pope; or when they seat on thrones with crosses upside down claiming it is from you!

Are you ready now. . . you did I discourage you? Be strong in the Lord!
