Did the vita fly from the original place of purchase on its own accord ? Profit for seller etc etc etc

I picked up this Vita myself by hand from Fnac in Geneva on February 22nd for 299 swiss francs. At an exchange rate of N180 to a swiss franc, that's N53,820
4GB Memory card = 29 francs = N5200

Total amount = N59000

Basing your benchmarks on the US price without asking which region it was purchased from is pretty funny.

This is of no consequence, though. I've already sold it to an appreciative fellow.

Now let me break the bad news to you.

At $249, the Vita will cost approx 40K. You cannot play the Vita without a memory card. Smallest memory card of 4GB will set you back around 4K. That's a total of 44k. Add in shipping costs and profit and you will struggle to find the vita at a price point below 50k without any games.

Have fun using your "money does not grow on trees" line on the boys at Alaba.

I knw i sounded a bit harsh i'm sorry,d price u called was not wat i anticipated so i kind of got a little bit rattled.I 've been waiting 4 d ps vita 2 arrive in nigeria so i can get 1 but d price i had in mind was 45k-50k.Pls can u tell how much u later sold d ps vita 2 d guy who bought it because i knw dat he definitely asked u 4 a price cut.So once again i'm sorry 2 've argued with u abt d ps vita price because now i can see wat u went thru 2 acquire one.

Finally sold it for 65k

Don't be discouraged, you'll definitely eventually get one in that price range. There are a couple of promos going on with the 4GB memory card bundled in with the wifi Vita for around $240. 45 - 50K should definitely be able to swing it in a few weeks time.

Don't get suckered into buying the 3G Vita. 3G is practically useless here if you already have a decent smartphone. You cannot game online with 3G, the browser sucks and using 3G cuts the battery life from around 5 hours to about 3 hours. Save money and buy the Wifi Vita instead.

The 32GB memory card is close to $100 in the US. I'd expect it to be around 20k in Naija.

I've got the 16GB version and it's ok.

All you need to do is download the Content Manager for your PC. with that you can backup your games on your PC so when u finish a game you can copy it to your pc for archive purposes, delete it from the Vita and use the freed up space to download more games.

This is a horrible deal.

Not only is buying a 3G Vita not really a very sensible thing to do (you cannot play online via 3G, web browsing is way inferior to the experience on any modern smartphone, 3G cuts battery life to 3 hours), the 3G Vita is locked to AT&T in the US.

Anyone paying extra for a 3G vita should NOT buy it from the US.

I was selling a Wifi Vita at cost price + 5K for 65k since I bought mine from the EU. Prices are much higher over there. Were you blind when i provided the price breakdown for him?

You on the other hand have no excuse. You're selling a Vita from the US and you should get him as good a deal as possible.

At least with a Wifi Vita the client knows what he's paying for. Your initial advert for a 3G vita could have misled him into paying for a useless feature.

Just post your ad for a Wifi vita before you get yourself in trouble with your clients.

I think d ps vita should have arrived mega stores in Lagos right now...but im not sure. Can anybody source on whether its in shoprite or megaplaza? Bet they would have it by now. I would have done that myself bit im not currently in Lagos. Pls let me know on any info..

I made my comment with respect to the ad posted by CA on a 3G Vita. I made no claims about the operating principles or the merits or demerits of ordering from CA. Save your outrage for another person. All I've done is to point out that purchasing a 3G Vita from the US is a poisoned chalice.

I am only selling these items because they were purchased along with a 3G PS Vita which I'm buying to replace my Wifi Vita. I already have a 16GB memory card for personal use as well as over 7 games purchased and downloaded from PSN including Fifa Soccer.

Since the meager sum of N1840 represents a 'rip-off' to you, accept my sympathies and a prayer that you will find it in you to shed this poverty mentality of yours. The average price of Vita and 3DS games rings in at 30 - 35 pounds (35 - 45 dollars in the US). If you cannot wield purchasing power in this regime, I suggest you head over to Ikeja and pick up a PSP for cheap with cheap pirated games.
