I really think you have to ask yourself what you wanna do, if it is employment i think there is a place for you here but business, you gotta be smart bout it and meet those who are already in it to give you a headway coz not everything has been set up to help growing businesses here. for real.

On contract basis, I don't know. But if you are seeking employment, you will definitely
be in hot demand here. If it is starting on your own too, you can be consulting for several organisations.

Since you have all the necessary certifications, you stand a good chance of succeeding in
whatever you choose. Patience may be required in any of the path especially if you are
going the business way. With creativity on your path, you can succeed anyway wink

skyy04,

I am not sure naija companies can pay equivalent salary you have in UK.

are you ready to down-size your life style?

You can't be sure of that statement. there are telecommunication companies that pay huge amount to their IT guys, not to mention Oil Producing companies. My bro actually told me of an IT guy that collects more than 30 million Naira PA and he's was high jacked from Globacom to his Company (telecoms too).

So i think the market here will be good for you since you already have 10 years of experience. you can send your Cv around or ask your guys in Naija to assist you. Companies will call you on phone, then you can make a good bargain and you must market your self very well ooo. i think you dig

Good Luck

And you dont need to downsize your life. You can be OK and free from hassles if you are very rich.

Nigerians with IT expertise can come home to help.

what companies are these?

you may struggle to command a wage compared to what you are getting now in the UK,

unless you target multi-national company who may be able to weigh your pay structure based on a standard international scale

the chance of progression certainly exists, but the wages may be a bit lower depending on the company

but nowadays in Nigeria, nothing is impossible, if you are head-hunted, u may be able to negotiate a tidy package!
