I have wacthed the lizards lay eggs in the soil seen the female through growth but ve neva seen a young male“Redneck"thru growth or transformation except when they appear as adult red neck.I have observed over time watched documentaries and even asked my mum who does not have an answer to it.Anyone here can help?

the young ones are smaller and without the red neck.

the orange comes in after they're grown.

I don't support your answer as I'd never noticed the transformation only to see adult male but I do see female young,adolescent & adult but red neck comes mature.

Well thanks tpia@,I will look out more cos I never read bout the breeding season & xters they exhibit then just noticed I don't see them.sometimes though some male has the color of the female but u know its sex by the shape & size.goddam I hate them.
