If you are confronted with the reason why would like to shed off some weight, will it be based on health, Socio reason, Business requisite or what?

Some women would like to engage their husband with their fit shape, (some men or women) spends goods amount of time in the gym to control weight.

The golden question remain, why would you want to loose weight?.

-to firm their bodies-most naija babes have o much weak fat on them. its amazing that they see the fat on them as sexy. you can -be toned and sexy.
-most naija babes need to cut down the heavy flesh on their tummy. these days,u hardly know which girl is preg. 90 percent of them have massive tummies. If u can spend hours on bb chating about nothing then why can u spend few minutes skipping or doing tummy exercises.
-Workout makes u younger. ken nuttal henshaw is over 40 yr but she looks younger than uche ogbodo because uche ogbodo is fat and losing shape.
-women are meant to market themselves and u cant market urself if u just spend time painting ur face and dress the enormous flesh u have under your clothes.
you enjoy sex when u workout. most naija women are too bulky for sexy. they cant be moved or `carried about` in bed and they cant sex their men. they are too heavy for themselves so all  they do is open their legs.[/b]

I want to lose weight cause I can't buy most clothes I like. It's upsetting to see that they don't have anything to fit me. And I'm not size Xxxxxl. Just have too much fat in some parts of my body. Probably I should excercise now but I'm too lazy :-P

I exercise at least 4 times a week not solely for weight loss ( though I have about 10 pounds I wanna lose) but to remain healthy. I am quite happy (and proud) with (of) the way I look but I feel even better knowing that I am healthy.

some people are asking if they need to lose weight. u can get the answer when u stand nude in front of a big mirror. check to see if u have unnecessary flesh on ur tummy,laps,lovehandle, neck and every part of ur body. The truth is that most nigerians think that they dont need to work out unless they are obsess. you dont just workout to lose weight but to tighten your body so that u wont have loose fat on your body. everyone needs to do at least 30 mins exercise 3 times a week. if u cant jog then u can get a =N=1500 skipping rope. skipping burn fat more than any exercise.

I wanna add weight.

But nway, if you want to lose,stop eating junk,heavy meals all the time and become active. Ok even if you are eating heavy just ensure you burn all the calories by doing more work.Use ur hands and feet more.Don't let the maid take care of everything around the house.
Walk,run if you can play sports.Exercise is not limited to the gyms. Turn ur home into a gym and give ur mouth/tummy a break.

i guess u are not skipping the right way. there is no one who cant lose weight. Try to skip for like 60 secs non stop. Do a total of 1000/day. Mind what u eat and u will see result within weeks.

The problem with some people is that they dont want to do away with our eba, fufu and co. You have to choose between your body and the food u love.The quantity of food we eat matters. When we want to eat,we want to eat as if the meal is our last. Dont skip meals rather eat small portions.

A lot of people in Nigeria are overweight but they dont realize because of their lack of awareness. The women think that once they have the big booty and butt they are good for life. This is sooo not true and because this is what they believe, they just keep packing on the weight. The men and their pot bellies loaded with visceral fat-- let's not even go there.

The main problem in Nigeria is that people eat too much. The average woman needs about 1500 calories for daily sustenance but people consume 3 times of that or even more at home. Weight loss is like a bank account. If what you put in is more than what you use, you would have a lot of "savings" that remain deposited as fat which assumes a state of redundancy in your body. If however what you put in is less that what you use, your body goes into starvation mode which impedes weight loss. This is why there has to be a balance. Give your body what it needs and nothing more.

@Dyt, if you want long term results with your weight loss, the key thing is consistency. You did not pack on the weight in one week or one month so you would not expect it to come off in a short period of time either. Watch what you eat. Dump the eba (at least most of it) and the cholesterol- laden egusi and efo. Eat only good carbs (brown carbs). Trash the iyan and replace it with salads. EXERCISE!!! It is sooooo good for you. Drink lots of water. BUT DONT STARVE YOURSELF. It would be worth it in the end (That's if you are serious though, lol)

Lool. I used to be like you but luckily, never got fat. Now I know better though. Yeah, Ice cream, chocolate, shawarma, pizza and all those things are so tempting but so are most of the bad things in the world. You have to do away with them and instill discipline in yourself as regards food. No one was born with a pre-destined shape. Yeah yeah, genetics might play a huge role by determining the distribution of fat on your body but you can still do something about it.

My dear, the foods mentioned above are so UNHEALTHY and loaded with saturated/ trans fats. These are not good for you. They do nothing for your body. Eat more salads, more eggs (yes, more eggs!), more spinach and other veggies (without the palm oil of course). But low fat butter and skimmed milk.
Do high interval intensity training, ie skip as fast as you can for 30 seconds then skip slowly for the next 30 seconds etc.

If you live in an estate or somewhere with little to no obstructions, RUN! You would thank yourself for doing all these. lol. I am a fitness and health junkie so I get excited when I tell people these things. You would definitely see results ( if you really want to).

Okay Dyt, I get you. Read my previous post though. As for the belly fat, that is not your fault hon, your genetics determines where you store fat but you can combat it. The skipping you are doing presently, keep doing it. sit-ups and crunches would not get you a flat stomach. They only build the muscle underneath all those fat in your stomach and make the fat bulge out more and that is not desirable. Do a lot of cardio (you know how when your run, skip, jog you go out of breath for a while, there are the things that would help you get rid of your belly fat).

Dont do late night meals, snacking. That's a no-no. What you are trying to do is to bring your body fat percentage down so that you can get that sexy belly.

You weigh 150? are you sure?? when last did you check your weight? Please re-check. I used to think I weighed less until I stepped on the scale a while a go and screamed! If truly you weigh 150 then most of it is fat unfortunately. Your fitness level is poor that's why you run out of breath by merely climbing the staircase.
