Admittedly, I like CR7 than Messi but I wouldn't allow sentiment to becloud my sense of reason. Messi is way ahead of CR7 currently. I'm damn sure that the almighty soccer midget called Lionel Messi would over perform in any league in the world. I believe  CR7 is a more complete player and he is quite unique and exceptional in his own way but he has not measured up to Leo when the big picture or holistic perspective of a soccer player is considered. Messi is a soccer genius. Both of them are exceptional in their own stylistic niche but Messi is far ahead in that exceptional ambience!
