A girl has a few dollars on her way to work and stops at the grocery store near her Job. She picks up some snacks and decides to buy a lotttery ticket, but she needs an extra dollar.

Her close friend walks in and she asks for a dollar, her friend is more than happy to oblidge. That same night the girl finds out she's won ten thousand dollars. She gets her money the next day and her friend is asking for half the money since her money was used to purchase half the ticket.

I didn't read anything about any agreement to split the winnings, so its up to the lottery winner to distribute her monies in whichever way she seems fit. Seeing that her friend was so greedy as to preempt the issue, she should be punished by getting nothing, other than her $1 back.

She can at least show her some love by giving her $5.

She deserves her $1 back. However, in the spirit of sharing, you can give her a few hundreds. However, pay your taxes first before charity or else Uncle Sam go catch you.

Its a no-brainer. She is only entitled to $1.

But if she had helped her pick the winning numbers as well as given her the money, then it may have been a tougher situation.
