Hi everyone. I'm just curious to know. How does one a visit visa to South Africa and later change to student visa on arrival. I've got plans to take up a course at UNISA. People please help, I wanna be enlightened. Collinfbi, Justwise and co I expect to hear from you.

I don't expect you to title this thread with "Life in South Africa" because there is a thread already with the same title, pls try and change it. On the other hand, Yes! it 100% possible to change from a tourist visa to student permit in South Africa, it's even possible to apply for extension of your tourist visa on a reasonable ground. Meanwhile, I am sorry to tell you that application for studies has closed since feb and registration of courses just closed yesterday 19/03/12. You have to wait again for the next application entry which will be around November or better still you can search for other schools that are still accepting application.

Good morning Collinsfbi, thanks for making out time to respond...God bless. I'll change the thread title, I only used the present one to get attention and probably get answers to my question.
I'll be checking UNISA or Damelin, not necessarily the residential universities which are very expensive. But then again, thanks for informing me...you're cool. Expecting more contributions though, there's never too much info.
