I know when I was in secondary school. Most of my classmate parent could not pay for jamb form for them. there were even others whose parent could not pay for Waec result. I even had to get money from my family member to pay for one of my classmate then.

Most Yorubas dont apply for jamb because their parent cant pay for university education.


You see when Imo state with a less population as oyo state is given about the same money. It means the number of money per head in Imo state is higher than Oyo state. Meaning People in Oyo become poor. And this is what you find in Yorubaland.


The problem is we have had uneducated people rule yorubaland. even some of the elected officers now, did not go to school. I was listen to a Yoruba senator the other day on television. And he could not speak english. I wonder how he could represent people. and I listen to another who was a member of the house, he could not speak english.

Why social injustice.
That why Ngozi iweala could write budget and make claim of $90 per barrel and nobody could question her.

the true is some the yoruba politician are not well educated to speak. And they lack the knowledge to lead. You dont have to have PHD. but know your issues.

it is easy to pass in those 'preferred schools' not for any other reason. those preferred schools....especially the No. 1.....na runs full there.....u can make a 1st class easy if u know ur way.

I know it's very rare in Igboland to hear that someone could not go to school because he couldn't afford the money to buy JAMB or WAEC form. If you tell one or two of your uncles, you'll get the money to buy those forms. No one wants to hear that you did not go to school because you could not buy JAMB form; the only reasons they want to hear is that you didn't go to school because you either failed or dropped out by yourself.
