So he is a good pastor due to his 'unique British/American/African authoritative accent.' Can somebody please tell me what this means? This effectively rules out any pastor with a Nigerian accent, I guess. Just goes to show you how superficial believers are.

Eh what logic are you using here? May be you need to read what the poster said again. The poster likes the pastor because of his accent, that does not in any way invalidate the calling of pastors with nigerian accent, infact we all know that an illitrate pastor can even be more annointed, it is GOd that calls and he is the one that gives different measures of grace.

I attend house on the rock and like pastor Paul expecially for his honesty in message delivery. Most times pastors carry that "over-holy" rabbinic toga to make it look like they dont have any struggles, pastor paul is not one of them. I[b] like other pastors like GEORGE ADEGBOYE very very much. Bob Alonge, Sam ADEYEMI , Victor Adeyemi ,David ogbueli ,pastor Kumuyi are also my favourite men.[/b]


Most times pastors say " Jesus is the answer" but go mute when someone asks "what is the question" . The point is that as a man of God in this our day you must know the question (general human and societal issues) first before the answer will appeal and be helpful to the hearer. I think pastor paul is abreast with the questions of life and by Gods grace proffers workable solutions. PEACE.

Paul Adeferasin is a good motivator and an eloquent speaker (that's all).I attended a few services in 2005 and each time i left the church, all i thought about was how to get rich (both legit and illegit).This is because his message is very clear :

IF YOU ARE NOT RICH, SOMETHING IS WRONG!

This is the same message most of the new-generation churches sell to the public. When i was younger, it used to be "Repent from sin or burn in hell forever and ever".Today, the message is " This year is your year of miracles and change.There must be a turn around in your life.The must be progress. . .bla bla bla".So if a struggling man/woman goes to such churches and hear these things, they start believing that there must be someone in the village or around them "holding back" their progress.To be frank, most of these churches have incorporated voodooism into their mode of worship.Every thing that people used to run to babalawos for can be obtained in "church" now e.g fortune telling (they call it prophesy), "miracles", signs and wonders, "special prayers". . .
