Hello fellow writers & aspiring authors of literary work, I had been cropping this idea of forming a club to unite all upcoming & aspiring literary writers in Nigeria, to help us conquer the barrier of dying with our dreams of being published authors, and to also unite us to form a strong, united association to achieve our life goal of becoming renowned authors. If this club works, we will be holding semi-annual and annual meetings to review our individual works. we will also be doing constructive critics to assist members produce good quality works. we will also go as far as doing contributory publishing and maybe come up with our own club anthology of short stories & poems. etc, etc. lets just start first. please membership is free, but u must be a writer or aspiring writer in these genre(s): fiction/non-fiction short stories, novellas, novel, poetry or drama. please if u would love to join, kindly follow the instruction below:


How Do I Register TO Be A Member Of This Great Association Called: 'Young Authors of Nigeria (YAN)'?

First, you must be a Nigerian citizen between the age range of 18 to 40 to be eligible for membership. If you meet the first criteria, then follow the steps below:

Walk into any first bank plc branch or office.

Collect a deposit slip and pay in a non-refundable N1000 (one thousand naira only) membership registration fee to this account details:
Account number: 3031520345. Account name: Eke Christiana Nzie. Bank: First Bank Nigeria Plc.

Please save your teller number as you will need it for confirmation.

2. Next, send an email to naija.writersclub@gmail.com with 'MEMBERSHIP REQUEST' as your subject. Quote your teller number in the body of this email.

When we get verification from the bank that you have paid the non-refundable fee, and duly noted your teller number is correct, then the registration form will be forwarded to you within 24 hrs after this verification process.

3. When you fill the form that will be sent to you, send it back to naija.writersclub@gmail.com
Please attach a passport photograph and a copy of your drama, short story prose or poetry work to this second email. An email notifying you of your acceptance into YAN will be forwarded to you after this. Remain blessed.

Also, if you are really interested to join this association, we invite you to participate in our first official election. To participate in our election as a voter, kindly go to http://wikicolumn.com/yan/, click on "Register to Vote" and register with the platform, then wait for the webmaster's activation. @dailynews I think you might need to make this more public if you plan to get the number you require. Writers are everywhere not just on NL. Try broadcasting this link using social media like twitter and facebook and maybe any other network that might allow more people to see this. I think its time we actually had a club like this. So if you really want this to work you might have to do more than placing a ad on NL.
