the first one has an episode of spongebob as the inspiration (dont know where spongebob got their own idea), the second i dont quite get, while the third is probably based on someone's real life story.

good lighting, camera, etc in all three.

Are these for the Nigerian market? These were clearly not shot in Nigeria and don't have Nigerians in it. How can we celebrating finally getting rid of colonialism only to have a slightly different version on our air waves?

The commercials are insipid and terribly unengaging; a mediocre set of ads by a mediocre marketing team. Nigerian mothers make most of the food purchasing decisions for the home and I don't see them responding well to these commercials at all. The second ad is especially egregious. Peak would have been better off flushing their marketing dollars down the toilet.

Just my opinion though and I thank God I am not a shareholder. grin

I particularly like the second ad. Cant u see the paparazis abandon the real celebrity to chase after the everyday-milk drinking girl? There is sense in it abeg!

These ads aren't bad as ads.
My only question is why have Nigerians made it a norm to shoot everything in south Africa?
If the plot depends on a specific South African setting to work, then fine. However, you don't run out
to a different country to shoot in very basic settings that obtain locally.

What challenges are you facing from the local economy?

Well, the major challenge is the purchasing power of Nigerians. The figures published by the Lagos Business School show that year-on-year food inflation is between 25 per cent and 30 per cent and that makes food more expensive for Nigerian consumers. If you factor in the effect of the reduction of fuel subsidy, the spending power of Nigerian consumers is less than 10 per cent. So, when you look at the balance year after year, a Nigerian consumer has 35 per cent less spending power on food. Now two-thirds of the population ratio leaves on less than $1 per day so, if you have only N200 to spend a day on food then you have to be critical; you have to select. So, we have to motivate Nigerian consumers more so that they give milk a higher priority. Milk is the food with the highest nutrient density and so if you have less money to spend, buy milk because then you have the highest nutrient density. Therefore, we launched just a few weeks ago the ‘Drink More Milk’ campaign, which motivates Nigerian consumers to drink more milk everyday because its very good for their nutrition.

grin keep drinking milk everyday to make Mr. Steetscamp and his Dutch company richer.
