They are unecesserily proud and arrogant.I think its a thing that runs in gene.I am stil yet to see any Urhobo man that dos not have this trait.Though pple would say its a general phenomenon but that of the Urhobo man just supercedes the others. |

am trying really hard to know where the pride stems from. Are talking of the average urhobo man that his wife runs the home? No offence but i see no reason |

Godmother: I am an Urhobo lady so I knw the pride that flows strongly in the veins of urhobo men. I just wonder if the modern day( educated and enlightened ) urhobo men still have that annoying pride Are you suggesting that there is a relationship between refinement (“education” and “enlightenment”) and pride? Or maybe the way pride is exhibited? From my own observation...the minority ethnic groups in Naija (well at least in the south) have a higher volume of pride (I’m not saying that’s good nor am I saying it’s bad...well it’s largely dependent on how its exhibited) but they fiercely echo their identity; I believe it may be because of their relatively small population or at least partly. Well this is purely from my own observation another’s may differ or mine may have just been coincidental. |
