I use whats app alot on my android phone LG Optimus Me P350. But since i just got a tablet,i hardly browse on my phone.

So the problem came up, of how to use my whatsapp on my tablets. After some tinkering i got it to work.

This is how i did it.

You will need
a. The whatsapp app installed on your tablet, you can get it from android market if its not available for your tablet.
i. Download it to an android phone
ii. Install file expert
iii.Open file expert and go to the option on the first page for my apps
iv. open that and wait for it to load.
v. once its loaded, select whatsapp and any app you need for your tablet. and backit up.
vi. If you have a laptop or pc, connect your phone and copy the apps out,
vii. paste them into your tablet and install
viii. If you dont have a system use drop box to upload it, then download it to your tablet.

phew thats the way to get your market installed apk‘s.

Now Whatsapp is on your tablet, just install and enjoy.

But wait its asking for a number,use tge number of your phone. you will get a twxt with a verification pin, paste that in whatsapp on your tablet, when it ask for it.(must have internet access). after thar your whatsapp should be up and running.

Now there is another problem, no contacts, or where to put contacts on your tablet.

Here we go.

1. One your android phone, open your file expert and go to settings.

2. Go to apk settings and select show hidden apk system apk‘s included.

3. Go to the my app tab of file wxpert and open it.

4. when it loads, look for any contact, contact sync, contact storage, related apk and back them up.

5. Copy files to your tablet via pc or dropbox or bluetooth.

6. Install them.

7. you should now have a place to put in contacts on your tablet. fill your contacts and save.

8. Whatsapp should see them now, if not click the refresh option in whats app.

Dont download whatapps from the market via tablet, because it will tell u that its not supported.

Your gonna have to download it via another android phone then send it to your tablet.

If your using Ice cream sunday or android 4.0.0 it will not install. So far its worked on froyo(2.2) and ginger bread(2.3).

Can't have have whatsapp running on 2 devices with the same number...
When i using the tablet , whatsapp on the phone stops running and a message keeps showinig up : '' Connection failed if you have installed whatsapp on

I followed the steps on whatsapp to verify my phone number ,whatsapp sends you a 3 digit verification code and after that the apk its working again on the phone, but guess what, connection failed message now shows on the tablet! :-(

however you won't be able to use both your phone and tablet. once installed on tablet you will need to remove whatsapp from your phone. You can't have whatsapp working on two devices registered to the same number.

if your tab takes a sim card, it cannot have the same number as your phone so i dont see the problem

@walcolm, My tablet does NOT take a simcard. Whatsapp still installs and functions well on it.

Its just that I can't have whatsapp installed on my phone as well .. regardless of simcard. That is because Whatsapp wont work on two devices with the same phone number. If you have a simcard in the tablet as well as in the phone you will have two simcards and two phone numbers.

I have installed wharsapp on my tablet ok. However, the only other apk (you posted from your dropbox) which will install, is the "contacts sync".
Contacts storage apk,Contacts apk & Messaging apk will not install. So, I have no contacts (who use whatsapp)on my tablet. Any suggestions?
