A Lagos bound passenger plane belonging to one of Nigeria’s indigenous airlines, Dana crashed into buildings on Akande Street in Iju Ishaga area of Lagos hours ago. The MD 83 aircraft was approaching the airport when the incident occurred. The plane was coming from Abuja with over 153 passengers on board, there is no indication that any of the passengers survived. Rescue helicopters were scene around the area minutes after the crash. The incident occurred barely 24 hours after a Nigerian cargo plane crashed in Ghana.
