Suggested steps to solving Nigeria's numerous problems:
1. Make the vote/voice of the electorates count. End 'godfatherism' in the choice of political leaders- let leaders be chosen based on their programs and thereafter be accountable to the people/electorates and not to 'godfathers'
2. Devolve most developmental responsibilities and powers to the federating units and leave only the issues that unite us as a country to Abuja. Devolve the resourses commensurate to these responsibilities to the federating units.
3. Reduce political over-head eating our resources by reducing the number of federating units from 36 to much fewer numbers. States structure should collapse together into bigger federating units while retaining the present state administratiion to a regional ministerial administration (akin to Niger delta ministry) instead of numerous judiciary, legislature and executive arms.
Any revolution (not bloodshed) that will carry out this should receive the support of Nigerians.
Enough of talks, lets do something and that very quickly.
