Basic:
You try it first, and you'll see how it works. Airtel BIS plan does not recognise the device you are using. In fact, that's what I've been using on my modem for long. So, just insert an airtel Sim into any device and send BSM to 440 to enjoy 1G for the next 30 days. However, if network no good for una area, you're on your own!
.

Thanks but, can't it be said fǿr Etisalat too? I mean can i subscribe that bis aπϑ use on my modem too?.

TCD: Use airtel 1Gb bis for 1200 naira. It works and it's the best for your Android.

Can you use Airtel BIS to initiate a normal Internet connection on a non-BlackBerry device? Have you tried it?

I think she should send BCM to 440
I thought it's N1,400?

Hello guys,
I was once in this issue before i figured out a way out of it. If you use android very well you will find out that even 3G might not be enough for you in a month, this is as a result of several applications that run underneath that eats up your bandwidth. I have used 2G within 2 weeks, so tell me how many GBs will be enough for me in a month. TWEETDECK app is enough to finish all your bandwidth with a few days.

Get your android phone rooted, then download an application called 'droidwall', its like a firewall app for android, when installed, it lists all your android phone application, and gives you the option for the apps to work either with 'wifi' or '3G' option, so in most cases you select wifi for all apps, and select 3G for apps that are bandwidth friendly. And anytime you feel like accessing any app thats not on the 3G option, you can grant the app access with 3G option, and when you are done, you remove the rights again.

The first time i did this, i was able to save about 200MB out of the 650MB after about 26days of usage.

i think the best and cheaper plan is the airtel monthly plan of 104mb @N600..very cheap to afford and it will last for a duration of 30days ...try n deactivate some unnecessary application that run on automatic update on ur phone to help u enjoi the plans..here is the activation code for the plan *141 *712 *14#.....enjoi!

sholatech: Appears no solution for those of us on MTN Postpaid? Since I started using my postpaid on android, my bills tripled!

Guess with pay-as-you-go sims, it is easy. For those of us on Post-paid MTN, any way to reduce these huge data bills?

Lexusgs430:

If anybody needs the best data deal, you surely do !!! About £400 a month on phone bills? Fabulous Autos must be doing you fabulously well!!!

That's the problem with post paid lines. It is not always easy to monitor your bills except if you decide to place a limit, but that is not the best option anyway. May be I'll have to go back to my lappy.
