Since deeper life always preach the bitter truth and no youth is ready to listen to that, all they want is to dance and tie their head gear to church every sunday

Christianity is the only religion that has changes in contemporary times, comparing it to Islam,
Judaism and Hinduism. It is not about what Pastor Kumuyi or Pastor Chris says but what the Bible
says. It is easy to identify a Moslem because of his dressing but Christians today cannot be identify, Why? Because the world is now in the Church, today churches have special days for casual wears, the church organizes trips to poolside and that is where they can wear their bikinis and expose their breast, this what the youth wants. Today churches don’t preach about abstinence from sex but the use of condoms. The youth are forgetting that they are not immune to death, “what if I gain the whole world and loose my soul?” prosperity is the order of the day. I personally will prefer going to a financial forum than going to a church for a pastor to teach me how to make money. Today the youth go to church with the breast partially exposed, we go to church and in the middle of the teaching people get out receiving calls. Can you interrupt your father to receive a call in the middle of a serious conversation? Why GOD? Is it because you don’t see HIM. The youth may not like Deeper Life but when they are diagnosed with AIDS they go there because they KNOW that the word there can take them to Heaven. They preach about Holiness because the bible says without Holiness no one can see the LORD.

THE WORKS OF  THE FLESH ARE PROPERLY DEALT WITH
IN DEEPER LIFE.MANY YOUTH IN THIS GENERATION
HATE HOLINESS,THEY SAY THE CHURCH IS BORING
BLA BLA BLA,BUT WHEN THE FALL INTO TROUBLE  THE REMEMBER GOD.
BUT THE POSTER SHOULD TAKE NOTE THAT IT IS NOT IN ONLY ONE CHURCH
HOLINESS IS PREACH IN OUR TIME,LET HIM WHO HAVE EAR HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAY TO THE
CHURCH!

So what is ur advice for xtain YOUTHs

I want to see these churches that the youth want, to start preaching about hell fire and we will see how many of them will stay. The world now is about riding in big cars, wearing fancy clothes etc., are we not living as if we can die tomorrow? The church is failing us, they are now telling us the truth. They want us see GOD as only loving but GOD also brings wrath. Today we have gay Bishops, the same reason GOD burnt Sodom and Gomorrah. Don’t only look for Deeper Life, search for a Bible believing church where you know that if you die today, you may not land in Hell. We don’t need anyone from Heaven to come and tell us the truth, the Bible says it all.

Like some rightly said, we all know the truth! the same reasons youth do a lot of things behind their parents back, knowing they won't approve of them, most youths can't stand the teachings at Deeperlife just as some followers of Christ left Him after a sermon saying "this is a hard saying" True, Deeperlife can be strict about their teachings of the Word, especially trying to "enforce" it whether directly or indirectly, they do teach the truth 'bitter truth'.
Secondly, in every denomination, there's always what Apostle Paul called 'Traditions of men' and peculiarities as a result of the founder.

You made mention of freedom of expression ( If I understood you well), Your freedom of expression should be in line with respecting someones views. Even if you don't you expressed it in more mature way ( if you are) and polite way ( if you considered it good value). Indeed, this is 21st century! Secondly, your use of English is also very confusing and I believe you can do better than that.

I am not a Deeper life member but i like their teaching, if u want to hear undiluted true word of God go to Deeper life. Such a place it will be very hard to find youth there. If u look at pastor Kumuyi is one of the few pastor in our time that has remain steadfast in his teaching. Christianity is an individual and personal relationship with God wherever u go always know that God will not say because u belong to this or that Church that will determine your going to heaven. Read your bible let God talk to u and be convince that God is directing u, if you are living your life base on what pastor say, it will get to a time u will not be able to continue and u will become a pretender or living hypocritical life.

I wonder who gave you the data on Deeper Life. It is foolish to pound the air, You do not know the make-up of the church. How can you then argue on the subject?
Is somebody trying to tell me that Youths do not desire to serve God?
My opinion is that they do and they are in every church including deeper life.
Go to any of the SAY (Success Academy for the Youth) that has been held in Deeper Life and you will agree with me.
The National Stadium was full every single Day of say 2000.
There are less adults in Deeper Life than there are youths. Quote me any day!!!!

i am a deeper life member true youths do run away from deeper life because there are some retired alligators who they will not want to share their fate

I am a DEEPER LIFE member and I don't care what you guys say about my lovely church. A church I cherish, a church where the truth is preached a church where you find moderation and orderliness. Call it what ever name or insult we the members in what ever way. I am not moved by that.

I am not a member of the Deeper Life, however, I stand for Christ alone. Some people in the times of Christ, insulted him and call him all sort of names. Yet he was not moved by their insults. If we are Christians, let us face the reality of being a Christians. Some people that contributed in this forum are not yet Christians. So there is need to use the forum to share the love of Christ to them.

jesus never complaint of being insulted why do you advocate such ,well jesus is dead to insult thats why john the baptist called the pharisee broad of vipers and they reacted like you just did .are you religious or for jesus??

Where did you get your data for. I have been to a lot of campuses in Nigeria and Deeperlife campus fellowship (DLCF) and CU/NiFES have the largest numbers across the country. I happen to have attended DLCF in my campus days and that was the best decision i have ever taken. By God,s grace I am on top of my career in Europe and stand out every where i have been. Thanks to those years of training in DLCF. ALthough am no longer there after I left uni but there is no place or church that stands and preaches the whole truth to the whole world like deeperlife does. People may make all comments they like now, the day of recogning is coming were shall know who is right. ThanksGod the church is still standing and will continue to stand.

the issue here is on why youth run away from deeperlife bible church , not if deeperlife has youth in the campus fellowship.certainly in the campus its 95% youth and the rest but in the locational churches is where you experience this most of you answer superficial and interpret in isolation

Urori: you probably totally misunderstood me. The point was not that Jesus never reacted for being insulted, never, it did not take his time because he was very focus to his mission. I felt that most of comments here is not constructive. Why youth run away from Deeper, ? is never a good topic. Why can we talk why many youth in Nigeria and parts of the world are not coming to Christ? Why many young people into robbery? What can youth do better? If you see the bigger picture of church and mission, you will probably understand discussing this topic is wast of time and energy (if you too is a Christan and mission minded).

Only to discover that there are many that God had been helping. May I suggest that Deeper Life is not only place or church that does the preaching of the truth. I was a Deeper Lifer both in the campus and local church and understood your experience as you explained it, however, I am in the UK now working a missionary and those years of Deeper was good one.

and they dont allow the youth to be free with modern days civilization.

though i am presently not a member of deeperlife(my father pastors a church). i attended the DEEPERLIFE CAMPUS FELLOWSHIP while on campus, and youth corper days, and i even rose to becoming an exco during my days there.


deeperlife is still my church. i have not seen any church like it, they dont only preach the truth but they entreat people to live the life. though some people in their ignorance do it beyond expectation but God can pardon there ignorance as zeal.

youths from deeperlife are still best of my friends.
youths that are not giving to youthful exuberance are still in deeperlife, and they are many.

go to deeper life campus  fellowships and you will know that the future of deeperlife are in GODS training school. they have no where to go.

so stay put.  where  else can you go to get the word of truth and biblical exposition as deeperlife??

pastor kumuyi has been a blessing to this generation, may GOD continually strengthen him AMEN!!!
