[b][/b] parents in the house what is the right age to leave childeren in the house alone without them seting the house on fire or destroying valuable things or worst killing there selfs.

I was watching news yesterday,there said a man left his child at home to watch germany vs denmark match with friends.when he came back...his house was full with police and fire service...

I woundnt want to take that kind of risk...now that am a father...

I will like to kwn what age is ok to leave child\childeren alone in the house without baby sitter?

Alone to travel, go shopping, visit a sick neighbour or go to work?
My kids are below 5 years and never been left alone on their own without an adult supervision. I intend to keep it that way in the next 6 years atleast.

While growing up, I had only 8 batteries transistor radio to play with,today with all the funky gadgets, diesel and fuel @ home (thanks to nepa), man made disasters, kidnapping and ritualists on the prowl, every wise parent knows not to leave children alone.

NB: I'm speaking as a parent in naija.
