Hi nlers. Do you guys think its possible and there are no implications of changing a manual golf3 to auto. Just asking cos the auto seem to be more acceptable in d market. Experiences needed. Thanks |

The question is: why? For whatever reason, from the financial aspect of it, its not feasible. If you want to sell the car, its going to cost you so much to change the gear that you rather sell it and walk away. If you want to drive the car personally, its advisable to sell it and get an auto. Changing from manual to auto is not just a matter of changing the gear. All the wiring that surround the manual is different to auto. The brainbox has to be programmed to recognize auto gear. Some (if not all) auto have their own brainbox that tells the gear when to change. The radiator for auto has an outlet that is connected for cooling purposes. Guess what? you will need to change the radiator too. And couple with the fact that you might not find a competent person to handle it. You will ruin the car. Buyers that are not in Lagos don't always crave auto gear. Some people still like manual. Check yourself before...... Good luck out there 1 Like |
