Na wa oh !! I've been using Lime-wire for so many years now, it's not the best but it works for me. I just pray that now that so many Nigerians are into downloading music from the Internet, them no go corrupt the system Nigerians too like FREE!! |

limewire is good but it has to much viruses. so you got to be careful when downloading anything. my computer got a virus from limewire and it got messed up big time. |

naija_diva:Actually, Limewire itself doesn't contain viruses. It's the files that some of the users upload on there that sometimes contain viruses. Some are uploaded with viruses intentionally while some are unintentional. That's one of the risks you take when you download files from any P2P file sharing application. I'm sure you've now learned to always scan any file you download via P2P before you open it. Peace! |

Yeah, but there isn't exactly an extensive list of "Nigerian" songs on Limewire. Another thing, 99% of the songs on Limewire are safe, it's the executables, and the compressed files you should worry about. Peace out |

anusule: I don't think so because Ares is an open source program and I doubt any open source program will have embedded spyware. I'm interested to know how you discovered that Ares has embedded spyware. Did you scan the executable file before you installed it and found it has spyware in it? Where did you obtain your copy of Ares? The only possibility I can think of is, if you downloaded it from sites other than sourceforge or its mirror sites. Since it's open source, the code could have been modified to include spyware and uploaded on torrent sites or other P2P file sharing servers. I'm just curious to know how you discovered the spyware and if possible what anti-spyware did you use to scan the program because I didn't find anything before I installed the program.
