I have always wondered what the difference is between coupe decale, soukous and makossa.
Or if there is any difference at all.

Same with me Fellis, in Guinea Fulani music is like a mix of traditional Fulani music and Makossa, same with some Cameroonian Fulani Music.

Yeah, destructed creativity. I said constructive creativity is what's lacking. Other than 419 scams, Nigerians aren't known for much else around the world.

No I'm Nigerian, but I listen to a lot of Guinean and Cameroonian Fulani music, since Nigerian Fulani music has been Indian influenced to death

Back in the day I'd of jumped all over this comment of yours and turned this thread into an AKATA hating fest, but you're lucky I've turned a new leaf in my dealing round here. I'm much nicer now than I used to be, so I'll let you slide this time.

onila you fit start the coupe decale here in nigeria.
But the coupe thing is beautiful. I like the dance. The whining around the waist is good to watch. What is the meaning of coupe decale? From the dance, one would conclude that the culture of these people is sexualised. Is it really so?

This is actually very true, but very few people know this because of the negative way Western Media has portrayed black people

I'm a Nigerian and I agree with this

Pagan9ja is a Nigerian and he too agrees with this. Nigerian music lacks creativity

It is either too Westernized (Southern Naija) or too Indian sounding (Northern Naija)
