Anytime it heats up, drive it into the lagoon. Have a special towing van always follow you so it will remove it from the lagoon once it cools off.

I have gotten two rides from Oga Fhemmmy and I must confess that almost one year now the two cars are still runinng and driving perfectly. Kudos my man.... D Auto Mobile Boss of Nairaland. Also it is worthy to note that the deal was very smooth and worth doing again. I will recommend the man anytime anywhere.
I also bought a ride recently from Emperoh and the ride drives very very well.....will also recommend him anytime.

Cheers

@deltagreen...This thread is not about fixing cars.

@OP.I'd say most dealers on Nairaland are not dishonest But you will always find a few bad eggs while people like inspired M, Fhemmy, Sienna and the list goes on and on have been able to build a healthy reputation on Nairaland.

Fhemmy, Sienna, Inspired, Viperman, Calculux and a handful of others. These are d men!!!!!!!!! They're d real deal. German007 was hooked up with an allegation recently, dunno if he's come forward to clear up d air on that. But on a general note, buyers and sellers have to be tread carefully n cautiously, this is an anonymous forum, anything can happen!
Re: Your Experiences With Nairaland Auto Dealers by OYINBOGOJU(m): 8:39pm On Jul 03, 2012
They are all fake with no sense of responsibility

The last time i asked One to buy my ARMADA TRANSMISSION he ended up importing MURANO TRANSMISSION

He told me its not his fault that his helper from america made the mistake.

He advised me to change some part from the old one to the new one i just bought that a good mechanic can do that

To cut the long story short, the mechanic spilt everything, both OLD AND NEW TRANSMISSION and couldn`t assemble again, that was how i lost both.

The guy never called to say sorry nor to ask how far.

He only took advantage because i paid him 100% upfront and so he has nothing to lose.

Start a new topic for this and I am sure you'll be assisted by serious minded auto enthusiasts. I drive a 2003 MS and its been trouble free fr the last one year of use with very good gas mileage nd no overheating whatsoever. BTW, are you certain the thermostat has not been removed. In the new post include more details of when the overheating started.........

Well, may for new or tokunbo cars, nairaland dealers could be trusted. However, when it comes to Naija used, please and please, run 4 ur money. They post lemon on line and call them oranges. If u inspect b4 payment, good 4 u, u're saved. Otherwise, u just got urself an idol (orisa in yoruba) that u shall worship (ta epo si lori) till God saves u.
Really, I made quite a number of futile trips to Lagos, only to be given illogical excuses like I neva knew d Customs papers r fake (after I checked it out), d ac just stopped running dis morning, d other car was sold yesterday (even after informing him I was coming dat morning): pick this one, even if I posted buy and drive, u shld know u wld need to fix sumtins etc to mention a few. In fact, dat lady dealer at Ikeja axis with airtel and mtn no, run 440 when u see her posts. A fair in complexion guy dat talks very soft with sumtin young wld sell u lemon, pretendin he felt it better than what he posted.
A guy once posted a solid car, stating it has auto drive, alloy, factory ac, keyless entry etc. I travelled to Lagos unannounced, call him and requested to see d car. D guy was relunctant initially, but I told him I wld pay at once, if d deal was ok. In fact, d car was nothing compared to what he posted. It was at a mechanic workshop. No water in d radiator, no fluid in d power steerin, clutch and brake, and d car was manual drive. He could start d engine, claiming d mechanic must ve taken d battery out.
My submission, if u're buying a Naija used car, trust cars that r from d actual owner. Go meet them at their workin places and u wld see d car is just d way it was posted on line. People BEWARE. Nairaland dealers eg with name of a former Calabar governor, Donald D...... add d rest, wld post lemon online and hype it over orange. Any used car dey post online would cost sumtin very close to a toks.
If u don't reside in Lag, don't waste ur time making a meaningless trip, becos their Naija used cars r often hyped and r lemons. I rest my case.

I have bought a jeep from a dealer with ID " eghehibor." and never had any problem as it was a sweet transaction. He is a straight person and a complete gentleman. A young man with great vision. Met him through auto forum through an advert of the Honda CRV jeep, called him and he asked me to come to Lekki, saw the car and paid till now, the car is in order.

Very very horrible.

I paid Mr Okhai Ajakaiye (german007) N650,000 as part payment to deliver 2003 camry in February this year.
Along the line, i had to cancel because i began to see inconsistences in our transaction and something else came up.
As at today, i am yet to receive a refund from him. He has permanently put off his phone and even deleted me from his facebook friends.

I wont call myself an auto dealer but at least am taking some baby steps in that aspect...

Sold a car some few days back and i guess the buyer is still happy to have the ride the way it was posted online...

https://www.nairaland.com/954030/clean-mazda-626-sale

Having some new rides coming soon...

Like any other biz...there's bound to be frauds and cases of misunderstanding but before entering into any transaction do a background check on the seller..that way u would be sure of the person you are buying from..

For all asking for a Clean Naija SUV....I got an Isuzu trooper 1997 model for sale ..

Very clean and neat.. ..Call 08062348138 for more details

Check your clutch fan. This is the big fan that is constantly run whenever you start the truck.
