Please if i have a 10kva inverter installed with 15 200ahms deep cycle batteries and i need to charge it with a generator what should be the power of the generator? is their a standard way to calculate the required generator power needed irrespective of the inverter power?also i would like to know the best brands for 10kva inverters.

Any good generator that has higher capacity (above 10KVA) will do the charging, any diesel generator will be just fine.

The charging current x the battery voltage should provide you that information.
But also consider that while charging you will also use the generator output for other things.
Example is if your charging current is 10 amps and your batteries are in series 15x12=180Volts then require Wattage is 1,800watts that should be 2250VA
But your inverter could charge at a higher current to quick charge, so confirm your inverter spec.

For a 10kva inverter with 15batteries, i will advice you to charge with a generator of about 15kva so you can use it to power other things while charging and as for now Sukam is the best inverter for a 10kva. my company could help with the purchase or implementation of this.
