foolish people - even the action of scooping will cause an ignition. Imagine scrapping a metal pan against rocks .

Why the so much blames on GEJ on nairaland.
When do we grow tired of attributing every fault we all have in Nigeria to the presidency??
From road, to streets project, light, cars, hunger, even foolishness, stupidity and ignorance of some individuals is blamed on the presidency.

I think GEJ should split into 150million pieces and be a guide to every Nigerian even at home, office or bedplace before some Id1ots here understand that Nigeria had long been in bad shape before the presidency came in. and in this era, we've been more exposed to the so many anomaly in the country before now.

When a fuel tanker spills fuel in other parts of the world, people run for their lives, but the reverse is the case here in Nigeria.

RIP to the Victims. May God grant them eternal rest

My journey was stopped for over 2hrs on the east-west road on my way to warri by 7.30am this morning. It was a sorry site, raw flesh every where and most completely burnt. But the number was not up to a hundred persons though. The driver of the tanker warned those scooping fuel to leave the seen cos fire may erupt. Not one person listened to him. Explosion was caused by motorcycles close to the accident seen.

When it comes to money, the average Nigerian is a buccaneer. It is not when they get to political office they begin to take what doesn't belong to them.

Olodostein: This is where common sense is not that common.

Besides, if you want to risk your life scooping fuel that won't last you more than a week or so. Why not risk it against the government that put you in the condition in the first place ?

Na when it comes to things like this, people dey get liver.

Anyways, Rest in peace.
They don't believe or know they are risking their life's

This one no concern Oga Jonathan o! If you must blame someone, blame greed. shocked

Even if the government is the worst in the world, that shouldn't change your personality negatively. Most Nigerians are greedy, and thats what you get for osho free tins cry. Positive Hard work and good opportunity still pave way for people. May their souls rest in peace. embarassed

Ehen, i'm back.

I heard it happened at the east-west road. If that road had being repaired by the federal government, there wouldn't have been traffic on that road and people wouldn't have even thought of scooping fuel on a busy road. So, you see why GEJ should be blamed grin. grin grin

There was a day this sort of thing happened in Enugu, within seconds of the tanker falling, able bodied young men were rushing in with huge jerry cans, one even ran out to the scene with a whole empty drum of 200 lts on his head and they started scooping even before they asked questions if it was PMS or AGO. I simply took to my heels in the opposite direction and was calling my friends drinking down the road to leave the shaks and jump the fence as the flood of fuel was heading towards them!

Nobody pitied the load owner or the driver, terrible country.

Since d Supreme Court denied them(the pple of Cross-River of their right to possess their Oil wells seeded to Akwa-Ibom of which the Gov. has put good use of the allocations accrued 4rm these wells) seeing this spilled 'ready made' oil was to dem dia own national cake, unfortunately, little did they knw it was their gateway to no return.
RIP!
