The argument you advanced here is the same argument an average muslim would advance when discussing Boko Haram, Al Qaeda et al. However, one common denominator is that this evil has religious inclination. If these people are not christians then what religion do they practice (remember they were singing 'soldiers of Jesus in Hausa')? If Boko Haram people are not moslems then what religion do they practice (Remember they still bent on islamising nigeria)? The bottomline is both religion are so maleable they can be twisted by any craftsman. If there is a real deity behind these religion, that deity must be very evil because despite its omni everything it cant control its followers. I get your point. And, of course, it's inaccurate for anyone to say they are not Christians, since, indeed, they are. That would be as untrue as someone saying Al Qaeda or Bokos are not Moslems. They happen to be. The questions to ask are (1) whether they use Islam to justify their acts, (2) whether Islam justifies their acts, and (3) whether their acts can be justified in Islam. These Berom guys don't set about eating people because of their religion. If they went to fight against of any other tribe who happened to be Christians they would have done what they did. Cannibalism, as practised here, has no religion and there is simply no way to trace it to Christianity.

Not according to me but according to the reality of the world we live in that is why polygamy and gay marriage for example are right in some societies and wrong in some. . .Reality supports my position not yours. . . .In Nigeria, killing of innocent people is wrong, it is also wrong to take the laws into your hands. . .Cannibalism is a criminal offence in Nigeria, so the people are wrong within the laws of the land in which they live. . . .

Thanks for that^^^. Certainly an angle I had not averted my mind to. In exempting Europe, I was talking about cultural cannibalism, that is, where it is an established practice among the people of a village or tribe. I had course to research a bit on this cannibalism matter and failed to come up with European cases. There have certainly been cases of individuals, though. I am suspecting that the Berom case is a tribal practice carried over from ancient times. But if that is not the case and they simply sunk to this level on the spur of religious or ethnic hatred, then it perfectly parallels the example you have cited.

Of course a muslim could make the same argument. But then there is only one way of knowing for sure if what I say is true or not.

The life of Jesus Christ and the early Church are what Christianity is about. You can find this in The bible in particular the new testament.
