Some years back ghana's currency was a ridicule,nobody wanted to own a cedi then but as of 17/07/2012 one cedi equals 82 naira. Oil was discovered in ghana some years back but they didn't depend only on oil, Nigeria is a failed state. What i hate most is when we call ourselves giant of Africa.

I went to ghana sometime around 2004 stayed 4 like 3 month and came back to naija,it was fun tho. Friendly people ,but I still prefer my country

Don't come out and be posting rubbish... Ghana redenominate their currency when they heard that Professor Charles Soludo was planing to redenominate Naira and secondly, Ghana main city is just Accra and Kumassi which cannot be compare to any of either Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Kano, Warri, Akwa Ibom, Benin, Enugu, Ibadan, Kaduna and so many others...

go back in history and stop at the begining of the late yaradua administration, you will found out what happen to soludo naira redenominating policy, to make nigeria the financial hub of africa,redonominating the naira by removing a decimal point was one of his strategy

If you follow the laws and are respectful it is a nice place. If you are loud and arrogant Ghanaian's will finish you off!!!

Understand what is re-denomination? The price of things are still the same it just that some zeros's were remove.. maybe when you are travelling From Lagos to Benin is 2000 before re-denomination? When it is re-dominate, the price will be 20.. Do you understand?

but this guy just opened my eye into something.

it got as high as 2.2 gcd about 3weeks ago at the black market which is around 220 naira but now it is coming down gradually although bank rate is still 1.8cd to1 dollar

three years later which is higher now.. Learn to think far and ahead People.
