The highest they roll over is 60MB. Dont be deceived, read my experience.
http://twinstaiye..com/2012/07/etisalat-fraud-on-data-rollover.html

If you are an etisalat easyblaze data users, there is this sms they used to send when you finished subscribing that, you can roll over your unused data after it expired at the end of the month. I want to tell you that, it is a complete fraud as there are hidden rules attached to it that they are not informing the unsuspecting Nigerian Internet Subscribers. First and foremost, I am a power user of Etisalat Internet, I used their network for my Blackberry, another for my Samsung galaxy tab and of course another one for my home Wireless router. So this is from my experience. My practice was to subscribe to N8,000 naira worth of their 6GB of Easy blaze for my galaxy tab and at the same time activates its hotspot wifi which I carry around as my mobile wireless internet which I use on my galaxy tab and in office. I normally subscribed to 1,000 naira worth of 200MB for my home wireless router since mostly it is only facebook my household browse mostly, so, 200MB is enough, besides, I complement that with the 6GB on my galaxy tab when I get home from work. Each time I subscribed to all these Data plans, I had never verified whether my unused data was transfer over to my new plan as I believed they are always. So, last month when I wanted to subscribed to my usual 6GB of data, I discovered that they have 10GB for 10,000 naira, and I was like, why not go for 10,000 naira 10GB instead of 8,000 naira 6GB of data, putting it at the back of my mind that, I can as well roll over the unused data. I did exactly. When it expired this morning, I quickly subscribed to their 200MB which is 1,000 naira believing that I have over 5GB of unused data in my previous 10GB I subscribed to last month, but I was surprised to see that my balance of data was just 260MB, meaning I was only given 60MB of unused data. I was so furious, and I quickly put a call to their customer centre, I was LUCKY enough to be answered to after 33 minutes of waiting on the queue. Their customer representatives, one YETUNDE, who refused to give her surname told me, there are rules governing it which is that, I should have to subscribed to another 10GB of data before I can get my unused DATA back. I was so furious and I made it known to her that, that is tantamount to fraud, because, there is nowhere the explanations is known to the general public. I then told her that, my 200MB data will soon expired, and that I am going to renew it, but am sure I have over 200MB unused, and that I will see whether what she told me is true or not. She further confirmed their company forgeries by revealing to me further that, for me to enjoy my unused 200MB, I have to subscribe before it expire. I quickly told her that, that too is a fraud because each time I want to subscribe before my data expire, they always told me to opt out before I can subscribe. These GSM companies are all FRAUD. When I ask the customer representative to give me evidence that I made this complain with their customer representatives, she told me, there is nothing to give me. whereas, Nigerian Communications Commission Consumer Affairs Bureau used to made us understand that if we are not satisfy with any answer to our customer grievances we can reach them, but first by collecting a ticket of that particular transactions. That is another FRAUD on the part of these GSM companies So, I paused and ponder, is there any iota of truth in any of these GSM companies mouth watering offer? From the above, there is an evidence that when they make a mouth watering offer, there are hidden rules on how they get their money back from the pocket of unsuspecting general public. I told the Etisalat customer representatives YETUNDE that I am putting this discovery on facebook, Internet so unsuspecting general public can be aware, I wouldnt want to dissappoint her. So when next time you are subscribing to ETISALAT internet, bear in mind the highest roll back of unused data they will give you is 60MB irrespective of unused GB you have.

U actually got some things wrong. First, u were not given any roll over 260 mb is wat anyone who subscribe for 1k gets. Secondly roll over is applicable to same tariff and auto-subscription, your money must be in your sim before expiration no room for opting out and opting in. You are however right by saying this is not pointed out to subscribers. We are on the same side, I learnt the hard way, and av since moved over to Zain, ready to move again if the atmosphere is not conducive. I hail.

@Mjay, and I was even thinking, the 60MB on the 200 was a bonus as an earlier user. Little did I know that, they did not even roll over anything from my previous unused over 5GB of Data. I am gonna give Airtel a trial too.
Re: Watchout: That Etisalat Roll Over Of Unused Data Is A Big Fraud by Nurry: 9:10pm On Jul 18, 2012
@Twinstaiye. The roll over isnt a fraud. If u want to roll over unused data, do not wait for it to expire, then u opt out(*229*0#) of the plan and buy another. For instance if ur MB will expire on the 10th, opt out on the 9th, and buy anoda plan again. The moment it expires, u have lost the data plan. Also the 60mb that u saw wasnt a roll over, rather its 30% of the data plan that you bought. That is the promo they have

@Nurry, it is still a Fraud, because they made it sound as if, your sim will always hold the unused DATA. Unsuspecting customers are being ripped off with this type of unclear roll over of data plan. If this can happen to me with all my being computer literate, think about countless numbers of Nigerians who are not aware of your explanations. Truth is that, these GSM companies gives with right hands and collect with the other hand. Users beware especially when it sounds too good from them, there is always a loophole to lure unsuspecting customers of their money.

I fall victim yesterday also,
A message came into my phone not knowing it was another scam from ETISALAT. saying i should opt in with *244*8# that i will be able to make call to all Etisalat lines @ d rate of #1 per minute: which i did but tries my first call, i noticed it was a lie, so furious and in return call the call care, very lucky to be answered after fifteen minutes of waiting.("in fact that same YETUNDE attended to me may that is the name they use for their fraud"winkI was told to switch off my phone, removed the battery, the Sim and wait for 5mins (even forget & slept off to wake up this morning)When i try another call this morning it was all the same; I Think the Nigerian Communications Commission Consumer Affairs Bureau should really sea to what these swindlers are doing to us..

The roll over is real. I've used it so many times. This month i subscribed 4k for the 1.5gb and i was given 2gb which includes the bonus 300mb and the 207mb i had left from the previous subscription.

At poster tah shatap there. I have rolled over my data twice on Etisalat easy blaze. You roll over your data by subscribing a data plan when you have an active data plan. Example if u have 500mb left to expire on the 12/10/12 and u but 1.5mb(valid for a month) then u get 500mb+1.5g = 2g to expire on 11/11/12. You don't have to wait for your current data plan to expire before rolling over what I don't know. Next time ask question or hide.

Okay oga poster, I just decided to read the rest of ur text book after responding earlier. Maybe the CSU Yetunde geh does not know much about it. All she could have told u and that's really all u need to know is that. YOU DON'T WAIT FOR YOUR SUBSCRIPTION TO EXPIRE BEGORE ROLLING BACK UNUSED DATA. EXPIRE MEANS EXPIRE (u can not use any more)

have you heard of "terms and conditions apply" maybe you should take time out to read these conditions before coming out to make these accusations. moreover your text book is too big. grin

Question pls....... So if I have subscribed for 8gb and just before it expires having 3gb left and I renew it like have said, do I have to buy the same 8gb to get my balance of 3 GB added or I can buy any other plan say 3gb and my previous balance of 3gb will be added to it Pls clarify. Thanks.

I doubt, cos you need the same amount in your phone for the automatic roll over to take place. If it's lower it won't go.

Etisalat data is one of the simplest data service to use if you understand how it works.

You can have 6GB data + 30% bonus at #8000.
Opt out of it (*229*0#) before expiry and then subscribe for 200MB + 30% bonus data at #1000 or any other plan. Your remaining data from the #8000 data will roll over with the new data plan.

I have been using this for two years now. No other data service is as flexible as etisalat. You can migrate from one plan to another without losing your remaining data as long as you opt out from the previous plan before it expires.

But also know that the #10000 data plan is not as flexible as that of the #1000 - #8000 data. You can only roll over with #10k for #10k plan so beware if you cant use it up.

Airtel data may be cheaper but not as flexible as etisalat. winkEtisalat data is one of the simplest data service to use if you understand how it works.

http://twinstaiye..com/2012/07/etisalat-fraud-on-data-rollover.html Good morning everyone. 200mb to 20gb can roll over each other.@thread starter, When you had that 5gb, all you need to do is to subscribe to the 200mb a day before expiration and it will roll over. It is only even when you want to roll same plan over for example 200 mb for another 200mb that you need to cancel the auto renewal. Always roll over a day before a plan expires as the plan expires by 12am of the day it will expire so if you wait till that day, it would have expired. For the subscriber who bought 1.gb for 4k. Etisalat has 2 for 1 for 3gb for 4k where you dial *229*2*2# thrice and you get 3gb with your 4k. Also a new monthly plan where you get 2gb for 2k with *229*2*8#. You can roll over this 2gb plan with the plans of 200mb for 1k, 1gb for 2k, 1.5gb for 4k, 3gb for 6.5k, 6gb for 8k, 10gb for 10k, 15gb for 15k and 18k for 20gb. All these plans from 200mb to 20gb plan including the new plan 2gb for 2k can roll each other over no matter the one you have or the one you want to roll over with. Always cancel auto renewal if it is same plan roll over a day earlier with *229*0# and if not same plan, dial the code to subscribe to any of the plans above a day earlier to roll over. MONTHLY TO 229 will give you Sms code to subscribe to these plans and DATA to 200 will give you the USSD codes to dial to subscribe. Please note the nite and weekend plan does not roll over with the normal plans and daily or weekly plans do not roll over with these plans. I hope my explanation clarifies any questions or issue raised. Have a wonderful day.

Really, just like somebody pointed out,for you to qualify for a rollover, you will have to subscribe to the SAME data plan, before the expiration of the current one, with 'SAME' being the operative word, pity you had to learn the hard way..

Wrong! I usually rollover my 8gb plan with the 1gb plan for 1k. What is most important is that you have to first opt out of your previous plan by dialling *229*0# before doing the new one. Sadly most people don't understand how it works and end up losing money or data.
