To firm up the security, the Ekiti State government has begun to evacuate street urchins, lunatics and beggars from Ado Ekiti, the state capital to a rehabilitation centre after which they would be re-integrated with their families.

Meanwhile, following the controversy trailing the killing of a 70-year old Mrs. Rebecca Adewunmi for allegedly being a witch, the Ekiti State Police Command has quizzed the traditional ruler of the community, Olomuo of Omuo Ekiti Oba Noah Omonigbehin.
