The cloth(not leather) is not tearing off, it's loose. That just requires a 50 naira super glue and it's back to where it should be.
The pictures you see of the car were taken the morning the car arrived lagos, so it's fresh.

gba o,
Re: Honda Halla : Non-nigerian Used. by PrinceLex1: 5:55pm On Dec 12, 2007
This is why nigerians end up in trouble and problems with cars.
I bring a car to you that hasn't had it's odometer tampered with and you say you wont buy because it's odometer is at the right reading.

I could have easily tweaked the reading to say about 40,00k and people like you who don't know the know will clap in admiration for the car and come rushing for it.
How on earth do you expect a foreign used 1993 model car to have less than a 100k mileage If it were to be a 1999 -2007 model, then you can scream the way you want.

You guys better be careful not to fall into the hands of fake car dealers, I, personally learnt my lesson the hard way and since then i've known whats up.

It's not a stolen vehicle; Neither is the owner dying that he needs money to pay for hospital bills, so @ 450k , it can't fly.
Re: Honda Halla : Non-nigerian Used. by barin24(m): 6:28pm On Dec 12, 2007
ok viperman, would it fly for 650k naira.?
Re: Honda Halla : Non-nigerian Used. by PrinceLex1: 6:55pm On Dec 12, 2007
It wont fly man. This car is the TRUTH!, NO STAINS, NO PATCHES, NO HIDDEN DAMAGES, It's "pure" like spring water , this is a buy 'n' drive grin

prince?
I understand u want to sell your car. What i am saying is: as for me 650k is too much for a car of 93model with 100k plus mileage. I bet u, if it were a 1997/8/9 model, i would be the first to rush for it. I previously used a honda hala 1995 in uk that i bought for 200pounds. I just need one in lagos. No hates!!!!! Just my Opinion. Safe!!!!

143000 miles on a 14 year old car is not a lot of miles. "7500 miles on a BMW" that is 10 years old shoukd be steered clear. If the miles were genuine, it won't run well and many things would be changed (from personal experience). Some of you don't understand what the mileage denotes. If you clocked 40,000 miles on 2 year car, that is excessive mileage and the wear and tear would not be considered appropriate.

what ever the milleage is? i don't look at milleage. If the car is maintained well and a reasonable price, i will buy. (moto no bi house, na to just move about)I used a honda 95 with 160k milleage for 200pounds. so i expect a 1992/3 model with such milleage to not be more than 300k-400k in naira with all the shipping expenses and clearing with profit making. Ha!!!! money don spoil naija!!!!!. Naija people too open mouth. (Money 4 thought in naija-profit only making beings)

You might be right on the price; I don't know how much that weighs except converting it to dollars. The shell [body] has minimal to no strain.
Re: Honda Halla : Non-nigerian Used. by kuntash: 7:07am On Dec 18, 2007
Hi Prince Lex, why did u paint the car, I 4 one like buy as is,
Re: Honda Halla : Non-nigerian Used. by Delta007(m): 7:18am On Dec 18, 2007
I no wan pour san san for inside prsin garri sha but guys beware. I sell export premium SUVs to Naija and sell them so I'm in the auto bizness.

Anyway, just my 2 cents on this sale is that it raises alot of flag. One thing for sure is the car is re-painted; that's not the orignal paint. There's no way a 14yr old car (halla or Beemer) will have paint in such pristine condition which begs the question, why was it painted? Obviously, the car was auctioned at a point, hence the "Auction sign". 149K clicks on a 14yr old car? So what did the original owner do? Buy the car and put keep it in his garage for 14yrs? Folks, draw ur conclusions; it may be in a pristine condition but I'd urge the seller to give some history on the ride.

BTW, I thot cars older than 7 yrs aint allowed in the country any longer? No?

Slow ur roll bro. U had better start looking at the mileage unless u dont value ur money or u dont mind junk. 200pounds no be money sha but 20,000pounds, now u are talking. There's a reason why oyibo sell their cars based on mileage not just the year it was manufactured. The simple reason is that Cars are made up of mechanical moving parts and are bound to fail with age or mileage. That's why toyotas, hondas, etc are leaders in the auto industry cos they buid that parts with a much longer life span when compared to other manufacturers. Also, that's why warranties are based on age AND mileage.

U do well Delta007, u fit flash me 2k camry from there?
Re: Honda Halla : Non-nigerian Used. by Ivvie: 2:14pm On Dec 18, 2007
@Kuntash and D007

The car wasn't painted. It was well taken care of. There isn't strain on the vehicle shell meaning it wasn't frequently used on the highway or raced/driven at high speed. At high speed, you put a lot of stress/strain on a vehicle. That is where the shell deformation begins.
Re: Honda Halla : Non-nigerian Used. by TopeFl(m): 6:59pm On Dec 18, 2007
No Offense but the way som of you talk is not warranted, If you can't buy it Leave it! Some of us would just NEVER change and thats why most of you don't get opportunities at all because at the first chance you will misuse it.

Pls lets be respectful.

Thanks.
Re: Honda Halla : Non-nigerian Used. by PrinceLex1: 10:26am On Dec 28, 2007
Thanks for th constructive criticisms and all.
One the mileage wasn't tampered with , so if someone doesn't like it, he/she can go to berger and go buy a car with doctored mileage.
As for it being painted, that i and my guys don't know about as the way the car is, is the way we brought it out of the port.
Many of you on here know i don't hide details. If the car has a problem, i would let you know so when you buy it, you buy it with the kowledge of the problem it has so it doesn't seem Viperman/Prince Lex sold a bad car to you.

As for this car, what you see is what you get. It was well maintained by the owner hence , it's good looks. Even if it was painted, it wasn't done here. And if it was painted abroad, For goodness sakes, you don't expect a car of over 12 yrs to run without being re-sprayed it at some point. smiley
Re: Honda Halla : Non-nigerian Used. by Ivvie: 9:45pm On Dec 28, 2007
@Prince

Do not forget you are on nairaland.  Nairalanders want the best without paying its worth.  The vehicle wasn't painted.  A paint job in the US. is about 2500 to 3000 dollars.  You wouldn't on a car more than a decade. years of age.  From the body, there isn't visible signs of strain or warpage meaning during its time, it wasn't involved in excessive freeway driving or high frequent high speed rolling (drag force per dynamic pressure and area).

Keep in mind that when you are set to do the right thing with no deception, people will criticise you.  The right person will appreciate and purchase this vehicle.  Remember the Jag that people thought you stole or was wet  because you had it was up for a ridiculous low price.  You can't satisfy everyone.  Some people are clueless to what mileage actually is.
Re: Honda Halla : Non-nigerian Used. by sultaan(m): 3:40am On Dec 29, 2007
If you wash/wax your car properly paint will always look new with a fresh clearcoat.Its possible to get a full paintjob after a fenderbender before the car is sold off
Most American cars look new when they get to naija cos nothing has been knocked off/scratched.

For those that think it expensive, think of $1500 for shipping, ~ $1800 duty(8+years), $1000 price at auction= $4300
Tell me how it should be sold for a ridiculous N.5m, or how profitable it is if you pay more as duty.

Sultaan

Quite right! Lolol - Ship a vehicle to Lagos and buyer pays for all shipping, handling and port tariffs. This sounds like eating your cake and still tossing it.
Re: Honda Halla : Non-nigerian Used. by ricki: 4:33pm On Dec 29, 2007
if cars are difficult to ship into nigeria why are people still doing it, cause for cars like this to go for near a million is kind of weird.
Re: Honda Halla : Non-nigerian Used. by PrinceLex1: 12:57pm On Dec 31, 2007
Well, ricki it's due to the 7years ban thing. Any car above that will attract more cost to clear and all the custom etceteras.

@Ivvie & sultaan

Thanks guys. You know whats up.
