Good song, the only thing I did not like was the Yoruba man singing in English. Other than that good song though.

If this is not an ethnography study, then there is no point in mentioning his ethnicity.

I agree with you, the sad thing is that the Yoruba man is singing in English and the Touaregs are singing in their native language of Tamasheq. The Yoruba man even uses a Tamasheq word "Tenere" which means desert. Tenere tekana (beauty of the desert)

lol that was actually my exact my point of this thread. when the Touareg are singing in their own language, the Yoruba man (Tunde Adebimpe) is trying to sing like an akata. but the song was alright, so maybe english doesnt hurt once in awhile.

Still not getting your point.
Did the Yoruba man write the song? Did he choose to sing in English?

Anyone who hates english shouldnt type or communicate in english.

Simple as abc and no need to open meaningless threads.

When you were asking for visa i'm sure you were aware the countries you were going to dont have nigerian as an official language.

If you'd prefer they make your native language the official one where you are, then write obama or somebody to get things rolling and discontinue english.

and anyways, one of my objectives was for you people to enjoy the music and give me opinions. .tongue

If there was a way to dislike this comment I would. What you are saying is that Nigerians should be submissive and speak a foreign language above their own. You are asking Nigerians to be copycats.

^ what I'm telling you is if you're not comfortable speaking english and hate the language, then PLEASE dont speak it.

its not by force.

stick to what you like.

So . . .

1. Why mention his ethnicity (Yoruba) if he didn't sing in Yoruba
2. Since he didn't write the song, why insult him? undecided
