The Ever Increasing Insecurity In Ibadan, Oyo State. by kayjasper(f): 9:06pm On Jun 25, 2021 |
The big beautiful city of Ibadan has finally lost it's peace and calmness!! After the last election that brought in Governor Seyi Makinde, security has turned from good to bad and now to the worst. Every day people are killed, cars stolen, houses robbed... Everyday!!! It was never like this during the tenure of the former Governor, the Late Isiak Abiola Ajimobi (may God rest his soul.) He was proactive with security, he took the bulls by the horn and never cares who gets hurt in his quest for a peaceful Ibadan and Oyo State at large. But what do we have now, a governor who is very slow in action, playing to the gallery and wanting to be a populist governor. He doesn't know a populist governor ends up not achieving anything in the end. Just yesterday, 24th June 2021, a gang of armed robbers numbering about 30 or more raided an area called Ashi-Bodija. From Deeper life all the way to Rainbow Junction, they robbed about 50 houses unchallenged, collecting, phones, laptops, Atm cards, gold and money. A woman was shot dead in the process. The police were called but as always, they came late to the party. This is now time for Ibadan people to rise up with one voice to condemn this incessant killing and maiming of citizens by hoodlums. Life is now Unbearable in Ibadan!!!! Cc: Lalasticlala, Royal Roy, Mynd44 5 Likes 1 Share |

The people that are sponsoring the insecurity in Oyo state know themselves because they know that is the only thing they can do to change the love that Oyo state people have for makinde. It is the people that are very close to Seyi makinde that is doing all this things because of ambition. |

Jostoman: Will you keep quiet? Which stupid talk is this? People sponsoring armed robbers to go and kill and maim innocent citizens? Can you hear yourself talk? Are you aware how Seyi Makinde has made a notorious thug and an ex convict as Park Manager?? What did he do when the Auxillary boys killed people in Iwo road last week? Is it also "people" sponsoring the Park Managers? If you were in Ashi-Bodija two nights ago and you got robbed or got shot in the legs you won't open your gutter mouth to tell us this balderdash you are saying. F*ck you and F*ck your Seyi Makinde. Stupid people, always shifting blames. 4 Likes |

That's one thing I hate about Nigeria politics.. People committed to those who might help them to win unnecessary and after winning, they make demands and behave anyhow |

Few nights ago, thieves/Hoodlums were attacking right under state secretariat brigade. Forget! This administration doesn’t have what it takes to keep Ibadan SAFE. They already dined with the Devils and his offsprings. Ajimobi Is Greatly Missed! Lord Almighty Will Keep Us And Household SAFE! 2 Likes |

I love Makinde, but we must agree we had it better with Ajimobi in terms of security. He should have just given Auxillary a contract instead of giving him the parks again! He is an unrepentant thug. Ajimobi used Yes-o to maintain the roads, clear traffic and warn traffic offenders, but what we have now are thugs wearing dirty T-shirts harassing motorists! 1 Like |

houseontherock: You can imagine, thugs that were well subdued during Ajimobi era. The whole Iwo road and the road union with their wahala never had a chance to cause any mayhem while Ajimobi was around. Now this idiot of a governor has gone ahead not only to empower the thugs but also put them in charge of almost every nook and cranny of the state. They have become so uncontrollable and wild. Oyo state has gone down down in terms of security now. 1 Like |

Sankabson: Thanks for this. You can imagine robbing right in front of the Government Secretariat without any challenge? That whole Axis has become a no-go area after 8pm.. All the way to Premier Hotel. Last week two people were killed and their cars snatched just along that Secretariat - Premier Hotel Road... It's that bad!! 1 Like |
