Appletek: See the riff-raffs and never-do-well, the drug baron employed to defend nonsense! How is Lagos-Calabar coastal road a more pressing issues being faced by Nigerians at this periods of our worst economic crises? Even fools that haven't achieved anything notable in their lives, would bandied insults carelessly! |

I remember how we used to walk for almost 30minutes from the road before even reaching the shoreline. Tinubu really did justice to stopping the ocean surge. 8 Likes 1 Share |

The first question is: is the project necessary at this period of great troubles and hunger in the land? We are doing this to satisfy one man's love for acquisition. |

Taming the surge was a great task. Ahmadu Bello way used to be flooded back then. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Arabaincubus: Houstency: Was there no hunger and global recession in 2016 when Buhari accelerated the 2nd Niger bridge, when there was already an existing bridge? Did you Igbos cry then? But now, because the road is to SS and SW, you have turned your opposition to progress to the highest levels. Why are you Igbos like this? Why 13 Likes 1 Share |

Appletek: There was an exiting Bridge and a second one was built. Igbos applauded it. But they are now crying over a road. Why? This is exactly how they were crying over the Oweto bridge in Loko. Why this wickedness? According to them, anything that doesn't benefit them is a waste. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Tinubu was Governor of Lagos for 8 years. He had the responsibility to protect Lagosians from all known dangers, including tidal waves. He didn't do that. Mr. Tinubu, having gained insight as Governor, and instead of doing his statutory duty as the elected Chief Executive of the State, decided to do the same project in connivance with known portfolio criminals, the Chagourys, as a private venture with part of the money stolen from Lagos. Mr. Tinubu, thanks to his corruption and kleptomania, is undoubtedly the largest landowner in Nigeria today. And this is the person his paid touts come here to launder before us. If Nigeria is a civilized and less corrupt society, this man and his associates will be permanent residents of Kirikiri Prison instead of his current position. |

OkayDaddy: To Bigots like you, anyone with opposing views is termed an Igbo. You can't reason outside your primordial tribal affiliations. Sorry to burst your archaic reasoning, I'm neither from the listed regions you mentioned. As a concerned Nigerian, I put it to you, how is that project of more pressing issues owing to the severe economic challenges being faced by the citizens? How soon would that road be constructed, is a year or two or more? In your houses, do you just spend money stupidly when you've lean resources, or apply basic economics using order of preference? N.B: It would be an effort in futility engaging a bot with several moniker on NL, continue to revel in your idiocy! 2 Likes |

phoneport: Thank God you made this remark again. While the Ocean encroached to the main road and half of Ahmadu Bello way from Oceanography School junction was taken over by rocks used as Ocean breakers, different professionals were given lectures, writing essays and report on how the ocean would swallow up the entire VI, Lekki and Ajah. The FG contributed to the mess and OBJ was against Lagos and Tinubu. They were very excited that VI Lekki Ajah would be swallowed up. I was in Abuja that time. I appealed to somebody to buy property in Ikoyi, he said the entire Lagos Island would soon be swallowed up by Ocean. They should leave it alone and allow those who believe in its preservation, conservation and beautification work on it. 4 Likes 1 Share |

The great entrepreneur that he is, I expect that with the coastal highway and Eko Atlantic at his doorstep, Mr Onwuanibe could, if he wanted , pivot his business to take advantage of the new opportunities these projects may present. |

Houstency: You are also a racist more than tribal bigot if you can not see the economic benefit of that road. It depends on priority. Under economic depression, we have seen people talking loans to do projects beneficial to them without any people having the audacity to question the logic of that projects. If Lagos were to be in the North and this project is being undertaken, no IBO dead or alive can have the audacity to challenge the project. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Those tribal bigots are merely unhappy about the development of LAGOS and they talk down the state hoping to kill the drive but they're perenial failures, they're programmed to always fail and they will continue to fail until they change their bad mindset and hate against other ethnic groups and regions. 4 Likes |

professorPABX: THEY only hate LAGOS. Look at ABUJA to KADUNA train system, till the project was completed, nobody complained, nobody questioned its viability but when it turned to LAGOS-IBADAN rail line, noise erupted about the construction, cost and viability. They just hate that another development happening in LAGOS means the state is widening the gap (that which the aspire to close) between LAGOS and their rots they're trying to paint nice. Let's live them to their mystery but on no account must we listen to their noise (except if it points out true anomalies that must be fixed). We mustn't compromise on doing things right because it involve one of us. So let the good strides continue. 5 Likes |

IPIGSRSHALLOW: I remember a time in the late 90s when flooding from ocean waves used to go as far as Federal Palace Hotel and Adeola Odeku. Canoes could be used on Ahmadu Bello way at such times! Eko Atlantic has truly made a difference. Vi no longer experiences that type of serious flooding. 5 Likes 2 Shares |
