Hello everyone, pls I am on my knees appealing to anyone that can help my husband get a job. He is a master's degree holder in marketing and have had over 8 years experience in sales and marketing. He is actually at the verge of giving up on life. He desperately needs a job. Kindly help us if you can. Thank you

It is your job as ordained by God to help him. Help him craft a vision which he obviously lacks and you are both on the way.

Wby is suicide always an option for some people if their expectations is not promptly met?

Take your husband first to MFM church for God to first deliver him from suicide tendencies...........

Then after that he will humble himself to pick any available job while waiting for the "big,high-paying job" which millions of graduates in Nigeria are also waiting for...

Why do I feel like this post isn't adding up? He has Masters and had work 8 good years? How come he is still feeling frustrated about life to the extend of committing suicide?

I think either your husband is not good at saving or you guys wasted the earnings of those 8 years and which ever way, it is childish for him to contemplate suicide.

Nobody ever said anything is constant except change itself. He should not belittle God afterall he had work before and I don't see why this fuze.

And I am here thinking of leaving my msc program in marketing because it's lack what I really seek now. Starting the program because of having an edge when seeking for a job. Now I look at the program and it's just about writing, writing, writing, maths, etc.

This lecturers don't even know the latest thread in marketing.
Digital marketing is like aliens to them.
I'll just leave it and go for professional certification. It' feels like I'm wasting time with no experience or motivation.

Make I just kuku change skul

Madam, tell your husband to dump his pride of 'I am a Master's degree holder' aside and look around for a job. Someone above said something about not "wandering around like a Fulani cow" . please that is wrong advice. Let him "wander around" if need be,until he gets a job. Going out at times, helps. Sitting indoors and expecting a miracle might not help much. My friend had his masters in Economics in the UK, after working as a Senior Administrative staff in Nigeria. Returned after MSc, no job, because he had resigned from his previous role. Had to do insurance marketing job for a commission when he returned, did Cstomer service, etc. He currently got a job meant for an Ordinary Diploma holder and earns about 50k. He just wanna get out of home each day, get new ideas, see opportunities and meet people, enrich his CV, until he gets his dream job or starts a business from God's help. At times, the devil is not our problem; our pride is. Aiico insurance, first bank insurance, and many MORE keep recruiting for marketers. Let him start from there. Humble thyself before God and he will exalt you. I sympathise with you though. Pls pardon my errors.

Your husband is not the only jobless masters degree holder out there and it is not compulsory you must work with your educational qualification.

Personally, I think your husband is just lazy and blackmailing you with suicide, so you run everywhere to get him a job. He had better swallow his pride and go out there to make a living to support you.

When I talk to people about this masters rubbish they think I'm crazy, a master's in marketing degree holder that can not market himself. If I even have an opening, I won't recommend him.

Glad someone thinks towards my direction. Like wat tld Bleep?

A marketer with Master Degree cannot go out there to market himself...

Nigerians and paper qualification, once they get it they feel on top of the world and cant humble themselves to start small... 8years of experience and you still searching for job... Madam leave am make him die another person will marry you.

Good morning madam. I can feel your pains and that of your family right now, its really a difficult situation for your family and marriage but tell your husband to hang on okay

Let me be Frank with you, nobody will hand your husband a lucrative job just like that, and his field requires high performance and total passion and dedication to excel.

Now before I advice, I want to ask, what do you yourself do for a living

Most great men you read about or see today once felt like giving up on life but instead, they channeled that energy towards pursuing a particular life cause and it ended up well for them.

If you click on my profile, scroll through my topics and you will discover something that will comfort you and your hubby.

I will edit this post, I am busy now.

Tell him to hang on okay

It is our useless present and past leaders that caused all these to Nigerians... because on a normal situation not everybody is supposed to be a business person or an entrepreneur but the Nigerian sad situation has pushed majority of Nigerians into business even when they don't have passion for it.

If possible, tell his family about his suicidal tendencies and invite a family member of his to come and live with you .

Invite family member to come live with them, abi? When he can't even feed his wife?

Look, this post doesn't add up for me. The man and the wife ain't serious at all. What happens to those 8 years earnings that they can't use it and start something no matter how small?

It's really funny how lot of persons reason here. Look at all the foolish comments I see above shocked. Everybody is now a hero dishing out advice and suggestions. Even those that can not feed a dog are still talking. I wish I can address some of these posts one on one.

Madam op, don't allow all this children here spoil your moral this morning. You are doing what a dutiful wife ought to do- standing in gap for the husband. I have commented earlier on what you can do. Tell him also to look around and take hold of opportunities, even if they are beneath his standard

Greetings OP.

Wish I could help secure a job for your husband but I cant and I know how difficult it must have been for your family.

A quick one, go on twitter, search Dr. Joe Abah, tweet at him and make sure you upload your husband's Curriculum vitae. For the past few days, he has been helping people retweet their CV on his timeline. I believe he is well connected. Do this and keep all hope alive.

Suicide is for cowards.

its adding up, for your info, a lot of graduates, both Msc holders are jobless in Nigeria. When we tell Nigerians to stop voting in presidents based on religion and tribal sentiments, they won't listen but this is just few of the uncountable problems voting presidents based on religion and tribe has caused Nigeria and will cause more until we all learn
