It has to be stressed that Lagos is a glorified slump
You can type that again. Wish I could go back to Abuja, I have never felt at home in Lagos.
I miss the massive roads, fresh air, no traffic, fine estates, sane folks, gardens, suya, in Abuja.
Nigeria has no city apart from Abuja, other ones are glorified villages.

So you want to compare 25 million populated Lagos to just 5 million or less populated Abuja ?

Let Abuja have the same population of Lagos first before you speak

Flood too also happen in Abuja

You people just use every opportunity to talk bad about Lagos, let Abuja or any city have the same population of Lagos first

It was mad today
Thank God I am home
The traffic was terrible
From Island to Ajah today was 500
Coming back was hell

Was going to Sangotedo today and at the round about close to Abraham Adesanya Estate was a swimming pool. If your car not strong you no fit enter.
Lagos need better plan
If you want to enjoy Island, live in Ibeju-Lekki because those area are upper land and hardly get flooded.

Today traffic in Lekki/Ajah na we die here! As a matter of fact, I was in one spot for almost 40 minutes without moving my car. Ever since I came to Lagos I never witness traffic like today in Lekki axis before.

Who dash Lagos 25 million you for just collect 150 million let the other state share the remaining. Kano is more populated than Lagos , apart from the fact it is dominated by otisi nala it is more organised than Lagos.

You are just ignorant

Lagos is the most populated city in Nigeria and Africa and it is also the smallest City in Nigeria, look at that burden

Kano is bigger than Lagos and also with less population

you must be a Northerner

You are very bias for calling Lagos a slum

There are slums in every city that doesn't mean the whole city is a slums

Guys climate change is REAL
Infact it's an emergency now
You cant wish it away.
Certainly can't pray it away
But if you take one step everyday to live a more eco friendly life,we all may delay the inevitable.
Until then
The floods will get deeper
The dry season will be drier and hotter
Droughts will come
Famine will follow
The developing countries like Nigeria will feel it the most
We are already witnessing a bit of the fall out of climate failure (RUGA)It will get worse if we dont do anything NOW.
Follow md lets join hands together and start a movement

I was surprised because I was at Lagos Island, Sura and around Yaba, I didn't see any of this also the rain of today is not as heavy as that of last week, so where the flood comes from baffles me..

Thanks for clarifying more

If you were Africa will you respect you. When 80 percent of a city is covered with dirt , containers scattered on the high way, no good roads, lagos drivers no dey even respect traffic and is always flooded.
My brother no bad blood , I stayed in Lagos and its a definition of Slum with a capital S

before now the hurricane do visit the US, the tsunami to Asia, the raging fire in some part of Europe etc, I count my country to be fortunate of not being prone to natural disasters but with this what would one though a couple are kind of human related.
a one time president of ours once said the attack of Boko Haram on the nation is our fair share of what is happening in world. do we also say flood is part of ours fair of what is happening in the world?

5 million what? Abuja population is increasing massively. Abuja is more than 15 million people. The guy is right, Lagos is a glorified slum. Abuja is miles ahead, good roads, cleaner and organized city.
A lovely place to be.
