horsepower101: Interesting. The problem I think you Igbos are having in your reunification bid is not the Yorubas or Hausa fulanis. It is from your own people (i.e these seperated Igbos in the SS). A large chunk of these SS Igbos have been brought up to deny Igbo identity and even hate Igbos. They are the ones who most times accuse you SE Igbos of being landgrabbers. If these people did not behave this way, the other Niger deltans or Yorubas or anyone else wouldn't have had the platform of calling you guys landgrabbers. 3 Likes |

Iamgrey5: Comparatively to the Igbos, yorubas are more united. However, if you consider the Itsekiris as part of Yoruba, then I'd say it is not so true cos most Itsekiri people reject Yoruba identity. Same with Ilorin. Many Ilorin people reject Yoruba identity. I have also seen few Okun people who reject Yoruba identity too. Meanwhile, most people from Yoruba tribes in Benin republic & Togo are not even conscious of the fact that they are ethnic Yoruba. 1 Like |

Nowenuse:I can partly agree with you on some people in ilorin and some okuns but I disagree with your submission on Benin republic. They are always aware, we are the ones not aware of them because history is hardly taught in our schools. Even the ones in ilorin are being brainwashed by the Emir. Some of them don't know that their fore fathers actually Chased the Emir away into exile before the bristish brought him back. Some of them don't know that were originally part of Southern protetorrate before the British forced them into north to please the Emir. 1 Like |

Nowenuse: Good point but NO. Not on Nairaland. The people who do that here are mostly Yorubas. A lot of them have been busted over the years when they don’t even know much about where they claim to come from. As for those igbos that deny their Igboness, i notice that they tend to be a very loud minority. The best way to know the will of the majority will be through a referendum. Finally you have to realize that after the civil war, Igbo denial was a survival strategy because of how wicked Nigeria is and was then. 3 Likes |

funmijoyb:Let me elucidate you and clear your ignorance, there are native Igbo communities in both kogi and Benue states, secondly, Biafra is not entirely about the Igbos but the whole of the defunct eastern region and others who are willing to join. Finally, who the heck are you to say who is and who isn't Biafra? You're so inconsequentially insignificant in this issue so rest your sawdust filled skull. 1 Like |

funmijoyb:Your timidity is unspeakable, well, do I blame you? No, all your life you're caged within the confines of your undeveloped enclave somewhere in osun. May never have the opportunity to travel and experience things as they are in reality, solely relies on the piece of petty information you get online. Ogirl, move off your mother's native hut kitchen and see life. May I educate you free of charge, there are native indigenous Igbos within those states aforementioned, I challenge you, do your research and findings and bury your face in shame afterwards. As for who joins Biafra, that would be an educational piece for another day and as usual I'll give it to you free of charge. Goodnight. 2 Likes |

Ikechunna: Correct! Even before IPOB remember how yoruba posters on NL would upload pictures of dying Igbo children during the civil war to mock them. In my opinion that made many Igbos start admiring ipob. What made me join NL was a post I saw celebrating Igbos that died in a boko haram attack in the north 2 Likes |
