The people of Niger Delta should focus their anger on their past state Governors who fail to deliver thereby money laundring their state funds to their personal accounts. not entirely true. At least some1 i know that was shot and survived with a scratch on his arm said they (4 of them - himself inclusive) were shot by some boys in a taxi-like car. Obviously mistaken identity. Again, the Poilce are fond of transfering their anger on innocent citizens after they return from running in the face of the really armed militants.

My own thoughts: (wishful thinking though) We should jst take a break outta this city for like 2 weeks and leave the militants and the military to dig it out and let's see the last man standing.

There were indications last night that the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has moved his wife and children to London after militants struck again in the state, killing policemen and several people on New Year day.

Heavily armed militants had invaded Port Harcourt, the state capital, on New Year day, killing dozens of people at two police stations and at the Presidential Hotel. The deadly attack came barely two days after the lifting of the curfew in Port Harcourt.

The governor’s wife and children arrived Lagos last night at about 7.30 p.m. with their luggage and several aides.
