Soo_cool: i'm currently surfing with opera mini via Airtel.....
To browse on opera mini with ur Airtel line, u will need opera mini handler (that one that comes with editable servers)
in the HTTP SERVER, input http://195.189.142.132
in the SOCKET SERVER, input socket://195.189.142.132
scroll down and select "Host" from the "proxy type" drop down box (some handlers come with only Host)
in the box input=>> airtellive.com
once the opera has finished loading, press #8 scroll down and change protocol from "http" to "socket".

NOTE: This is not a free browsing trick so it is not illegal.
Thanks man! Its working fine with that settings.

Hello nairalanders,
it's very true. I am experiencing the same too on my smartphone since friday evening. Presently i am send this through uc browser which i dont so much like.. I see no reason why airtel could have done something of such without informing their subscribers.

It didn't start all of a sudden. The erratic response of Opera Mini on the Airtel network has been on for a little over a month. It merely seems this is the longest it's stayed bad.

Oh, and I'm replying via Opera Mobile

Until yesterday, mine was working fine

I didn't say it entirely stopped working. Merely stalls with increasing frequency & longer duration. Even now, it connects somewhat, with great difficulty. And I haven't the time to sit & yawn while pages load. There's way too little time in life than waiting on Opera Mini's tantrums to resolve

For the ucweb, I'll recommend that you upgrade to the latest version (cool.....
For the problem with ur 3110c: that error message just means that your phone is not properly configured for browsing. Go to settings>>configuration, select an internet configuration setting (for MTN) & activate it as default for all applications! If you don't have this setting just send "settings" as an SMS to 3888
hopes this solves the problem!

Okay, u've downloaded it!
Now in that front query box, input=>> airtellive.com@
scroll down to "proxy type"
select "HTTP" & in the "proxy server" box, input=>> 195.189.142.132
that should do it
