Compensation: A recent survey by CareerBuilder.com found that workers who were the firstborn child in their families were more likely to earn $100,000 or more annually compared to their siblings.

Professions: The oldest tend to pursue vocations that require higher education, like medicine, engineering or law. Firstborns from the CareerBuilder.com survey reported working in jobs in government, engineering, pharmacy and science. Ohio State University researchers found firstborn children were more likely to pursue "intellectual" jobs.

Job level: Workers who are firstborn are more likely to report holding a vice president or senior management position, according to the survey.

dublinkmy6: The OP has a point. I am the first son of four children. The younger boys seem to have better luck and are doing better than i did at their present ages. I also have a maternal cousin like that, and his case is even worse than mine. I also have a paternal cousine- the first son of the entire extended family, and his own case is just..... hmmm. There seem to be more to it really. Well, in my case, it seems that the unfulfilled vow my mother made to God on my behalf while i was still in the womb is having an effect- word of prophecy said it and my mother confirmed it to me. But i never planned to be a reverend father, yet a vow is a vow, especially one made to God.
I believe a lot of forces come to play during pregnancy and birth of a first son. Some of the things our parents, especially our mothers do to bear a male child- and they do alot and to any extent, can definitely have effects. Also, remember that God also has interest in first sons, and that the devil never sleeps over the interests of God.

I don't even get what you said. I'm sure you're neither a son nor a first son. I am, and have relatives who are also. I am talking from real life experience, i don't accept unsubstantiated hypothesies. The best you can do is put forward a counter argument and let's see how reasonable it is. Look at it this way: The younger male son is usually more successful than the first male so. It applies to male, not necessarily female.

Some people claimed to be first born sons and more successful than their younger brother. I can't say you're lying.
For instance, its normal for a man to be stronger than a woman. But does it mean that all men are stronger than all women?
