Ilaje44:Look, except you have forgotten what this thread is all about. It is about Nokia and my argument on why they choose MTN as an exclusive vendor for three months is the fact that, the phones are factory unlocked. So, if Nokia want to really penetrate the market, they should involve all the service providers at the same time. Never undermine the power of small providers' for any reason. Thank you. |

Chuck D: which one be your own sef? a lot of people out there pretty much do things like cattle. they'll think it's the "in thing" until they discover it's unusable. Never knew the andriod OS ruling the market now were bought by peeps who behave like cattle . . .You need to show respect to peoples choices and not try to sound off the mark . . . And by the way . .You have never used the Windows Phone OS to label it unusable . . .My experience with it has been fun so far . . . . Chuck D: sorry o, I don't know where you got your info that "people" are ordering Lumias in "droves" but I think that's just pure "FABOO" Na you just dey fabricate that stats.[/color] You are obviously stale in current tech events . . . . Please hit google, then search for Lumia 920 demand and get educated . . . And also be adequately informed before quoting me again . . . .

aze: Mobile OS market share 6 years ago . . .Nokia was the undeniable heavy weight champion in the Mobile ecosphere . .Where are they now ? . . . .Don't discount the current buzz of the windows phone 8 simply because of current stats . . . Windows 8 & Windows Phone 8 similar kernel build will be a game changer . . . . |

aze: Most of the fomer Symbian users moved on to Android Smartphone platform. Datz way better than a locked down limited OS. My PS3 and Xbox 360 are 'locked down, walled gardens'. You think I care? Smartphone usability, app selection, design, UI/UX...those are features many people like myself look at when buying a phone. It's not about just flashing a custom ROM for flashing sake. If what you have already does what you want it to do (and any omissions are small enough to be overlooked), what's the point of whining about 'openness'? |

apple this apple that, bb this bb that, apple and android has the highest number of apps, no doubt but how many of the apps do we actually use the most important a heavy user would download should not be more than 1,000. as regards windows phone 8 its a lovely OS its very smooth and runs well even on low processing power and low RAM unlike android that needs so much power and ram to run smoothly, I would liken WP8 to the IOS which runs well even on 256 RAM. windows phone 8 is a lovely OS i can track windows phone 8 wherever it is on earth through find my phone and i can also remote wipe it if it's stolen or misplaced to protect my information, you can as well remotely lock the phone wherever it is for your protection and if its its remotely locked especially on the Nokia Lumia 920 it can't be switched off because it doesn't have a removable battery, that is one of the essence of having irreplaceable battery. Lumia 920 right is selling like hot cakes all over the world. As regards blackberry, blackberry is dying so fast especially in United States and developed world, its only in Africa and parts of Asia we still purchase blackberry all we use it for is ping, blackberry doesn't have apps like WP8, IOS AND android. although BB is making plans for a brand new OS that can accommodate new apps about the same ind of apps like Android, IOS and WP8, but that should be till next year b4 we see their new device, i see no reason for BB MESSENGER now when i can instant message, and make free video calls via skype to android, IOS and WP8 users as long as I have my internet sub. Well i leave you guys to just make up your minds on the next devices to purchase, but the war now is between Lumia 920, Apple Iphone 5 and Galaxy S3, which ever u get now is awesome. take care guys |
