I'll say, don't tell them. I'd advise that you focus on the intention and the spirit behind the givin. That way, you won't have any problems appreciating it. Whatever your reason is for not "liking" it, be it the material worth, or the inappropriateness of it, one thing is true, we're not all skilled in "gifting". Know this fact, and "sin no more"  |

@OP: Learn to be appreciative of whatever it is your boyfriend gets for you; at least without your asking for it... It's almost impossible to tell him you do not like his gift without hurting him. If what you were expecting is well within his financial reach, then I think you should have hinted it in some occasions you may have been together. That way it would have been anchored in his mind that his 'baby' is in need of what he can afford and if he truely cares, he would want to surprise you with it! Anyway, show him, if you're truely his girlfriend, that it does'nt matter what gift he's got for you but the intention behind it is what matters! |
