As an Architect, I can conclude that that house is Ugly,his love for golden buildings is crass and banana island is overated (The available infrastructure ain't worth it). I would have done a better resolved building complete with trees and landscaping. I'm pissed b'cos its that bad architect that got the Job. Why couldn't he create a "Zaha Hadid" inspired building?? He's got the money.

Aside the mansion, Mike Adenuga was the one man that made mobile phone services available to the the average person in nigeria. When southern Africans came with mtn and econet 99.99% of nigerians could not afford a gsm phone with Sim alone at 40k. This patriotic nigerian then came on the scene with GLO and promised to crash the cost of SIM to 0 kobo with per second billing. I drove past the building last time I was in Banana Island late last year, my friend told me it was meant to be his private residence. . .not an office. I don't know if it's beeen completed now, but I remember seeing Julius Berger stationed there permanently - with at least three of those their 'container' offices. Sprawling edifice it should be, although I don't know if it is bigger than Sayyu Dantata's palace in the same Banana Island.

I think u have a good point here about the design of d house, I wonder if Zaha Hadid can agree to do a residential design project because I've known her 2 do only designs for public structures.
I guess if the prize is right as it involves a billionaire in this case, she can accept the challenge to do a residential design . But, really, I doubt that she could do a residential design that Adenuga would like since I know that her architectural designs are usually kinda inspired by curvy linear conemporary shapes.
Since Adenuga wanted an Italian villa inspired building, he should have gone to Miami 2 to check out the Italian villas there and maybe seek out one of the architects that did one of them buildings.
