bawomolo:

death seems like a harsh punishment i doubt any father would want to give to their child. what's left if the soul perishes?? seems like a cruel god to me.

really? So tell me, do you consider your government cruel for executing coup plotters, armed robbers and serial killers? Seems like a cruel president to me.

What about your police officers who shoot robbers dead "in the line of duty"? Kinda a harsh punishment for merely robbing a bank innit?

Aha . . . what of the troops in Iraq? Isnt death a harsh punishment to dish out to isl'amic insurgents? Cruel soldiers.

but God is an ever loving God. do u think a government official would support the execution of his/her child. why would GOd do that to this children then. i don't think the children in sodomy and Gomorrah deserved to die for their fathers "sins " either.

but God wants our salvation and has mercy on us. the cop just wants to exert punishment.

1. How do you know God is an ever loving God? didnt you say He was a figment of our imagination
2. dont mix things up . . . there is a difference between God's children and His creation. We are all His creation but not all of us are His children. There is a criteria you must fulfill to take up the status of being His child.
Of course not He will never punish His children with death . . . He already paid that price on their behalf.

that mercy will not be there forever.

God did not kill the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah. They perished because of their sins. All power belongs to God and only God has power. The power of God is pure since God is the living Purity. Man by virtue of being spiritual can use the power coming from God. Man does not have this power, it is a "loan" that God gave him and he must use this loan according to the will of God. If he uses this power as God wills, then the power retains its purity and even gains greater strength through the continued influx of the pure power of God. Such transformation can only result in love, health, harmony, etc. If however man misuses the power of God, the pure power lent to him gets dimed, looses its connection with the pulsating pure power of God. Since man does not own this power but it is lent to him, he is accountable to the owner of the power which is God. The people of Sodom and Gomorrah disobeyed the laws of God by commiting sins. It is these sins that destroyed them. If you hit your hand on the wall and get your fingers broken, then the correct picture is that you broke your hand by hitting the wall and not that the wall broke your hand. A reaction is always a consequence of an action and there is no reacton that is not triggered by an action. Thus it incorrect to say that God destroyed the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, rather it is their sin that destroyed them. Every sin is a misuse of the power of God. The misued power is repelled by the pure power of God back to the originators of this misued power. When the misued power hits the originators, they are experiencing what they sent out and nothing more. These events can simply be put as "You reap what you sow and you will reap it in mutiples"

Just confirms the hunch that you mus'lims are the most dishonest pple the world has ever been plagued with.

Dishing "harsh" punishments on Islamic insurgents? The same insurgents who think nothing of flying planes into the WTC to kill innocent workers? You have a nerve mr.
