All the tribalistic bs aside, africans really need to learn how to cede power. Of what use is governorship if Chime develops a complication and dies. Hand over power to your deputy, be thankful you can go abroad for your treatment, and stay there until you are clear. In a democracy, you can come back and resume office once you are medically cleared.

And that's all you have to say. Really?

No wonder nigeria is in the dark and can never change.

You should be asking for him to step aside so that the state can be governed and developed, not May god this and that.

Aren't you people tired of that by now?

Folks,

There is no truth at all to this Daily Times story that Gov Chime has been flown
abroad for health reasons. His Excellency Governor Sullivan Iheanacho Chime is
presently in Enugu going about his gubernatorial business and steadily
delivering on the 4-Point Agenda for the people of Enugu State. A simple, very
basic investigation could have confirmed the falsity of this story, yet the
Daily Times reporter failed to undertake such a step necessary to confirm the
veracity of the story, (or the lack thereof). This is a very bad case of
"make-up" or hallucinatory journalism and it should be roundly condemned. Gov
Chime is in Enugu and he is okay.

I think it is very selfish of a politician to want to hold onto power even when their health is failing. Governor Chime main concern should be his health first and foremost. If he cannot govern his state due to poor health, he should step down and allow his deputy to take over the reigns of government. This peculiar problem of politicians refusing to relinquish power even when they are terminally ill seems to impact many African politicians. Just look at Robert Mugabe who seems like he would rather die in office than give up the presidency. However, godspeed to Governor Chime as he battles his ailment.

On what basiis is your dull brain comparing Chime an elected gov yet to complete his tenure to Mugabe a political tyrant.
Pls go back to sleep and clear your head before typing again.
If u want comparisons look at Ariel Sharon and Hilary Clinton.
Ariel is typical Chime scenario.

fogman,:
Daily Times has just been informed that the Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime has been flown abroad again following complications on his health condition.

Governor Sullivan Chime returned to Nigeria two weeks ago after spending four months in hospital abroad and since he returned, the governor has been incommunicado leaving speculations that his return in the first place was ‘packaged’ to show that he was still in control of affairs of the state.

It is not yet clear the manner in which his movement aboard was arranged and to which hospital. Daily Times will be keep you updated on this.

I have reasons to believe Chime is in Enugu. But newspapers should sell their market, Nigerians need to be kept busy as so much unemployment is in the country.
