Greatken007: YOU are A FOOL........hw many times did you write your WAEC(i guess 5 - 6 times)is it a crime for some1 to fall sick?

It is against the law for a sickler to remain at the helms of the government.

He should have taken the part of honour and resign instead of wasting government money on his personal problem.
Re: Chime Flown Abroad Again On Medical Grounds by sweetgala(m): 8:51am On Mar 04, 2013
This man needs to resign and give himself some precious time to regain his strength. He can contest the elections again when he has dealt with the most important factor in his life. Health is wealth they say and the position of a leader is tiring in Nigeria.

And that's all you have to say. Really?

No wonder nigeria is in the dark and can never change.

You should be asking for him to step aside so that the state can be governed and developed, not May god this and that.

Aren't you people tired of that by now?

Wow

Tired of what?
If you dont believe, must you critique those who do?

@OP: Gov. Chime should hand over properly. Thats if he hasn't.
I'm not from Enugu State, but i have Mr. Chime is a good man and works well for the good of his people.

His supporters in Enugu should pick one day to hold a night vigil for him in petition to the ALMIGHTY GOD.
Good leaders shouldnt be allowed to waste away. GOD be with him.

He should resign at least that will avail him enough time to take care of his health. The Pope has set a good example for us all. I wish him quick recovery though

Yes, because he may have left the country last night, anything is possible.
But are we enjoying his works? Yes.
Is he sick? Maybe.
Is his sickness affecting his performance? Never.
Should he hand over? Maka why kwanu? cheesy
the man is suffering from cancer and probably a cocktail of other diseases.he should resign and get proper treatment..the rigours of governing d state wld obviously worsen his condition.he is just a Governor for God's sake.

Do you know what I find funny in all these?

The most important people in the state, the masses are not complaining.
The deputy governor has never said he has been marginalized.
The house of assembly works well with the governor.
All other government officials are going about their normal govenment business.
Mrs. Chime is cooking pounded yam for her husband.
The salaries of workers are promptly paid.
All Schools are in session.
Contractors are working overtime here.

And yet some people will always make us believe something is wrong with the governor or the state.

Something may be wrong with the administration online, but the crowds here are enjoying the works of the governor. What a contrast! I promise to snap a few pictures of Chimes work this year (2013) and post in this page. We need to see the difference between hype and reality.

Liberal2020: Sometimes our leaders complicate things for themselves. Make trouble out of nothing. What is so difficult coming out in public, before your loyal supporters and openly admit that you have cancer and that you will be needing some time off to recuperate. For the time being, the deputy governor will be acting on my behalf. What is so difficult about this? We(the people/supporters) are not inhumane nor out of touch with reality, in fact, this will solidify the support he has and the people will be praying for him. But when you hide, hide and hide stuff like this, especially something medical(cancer) that you know that man has no control over, is just a way to easily erode the support and trust the people have for you.

And please stop telling us that you went on vacation as your chief of staff kept saying three weeks ago thinking we are fools. Let's assume you were on vacation for more than 90 days, why in the heck are you returning for another round of vacation? Wasn't the 90 days enough? Wishing you quick recovery but be honest with your supporters of which I'm one of.

I know you have an interest in all matters relating to building and construction, but wonder what it would take for you to speak with candour just this once.

Good governance extends way beyond structural projects into other spheres of the polity (education, security, health, trade,...etc) and you know it. Yet here you are, once again, pledging to post pictures which would do little to advance the subject of failing health, for no other reason than to obfuscate a germane discussion.

Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime has reportedly left the country again, three weeks after he returned to the country from a controversial vacation in London that lasted over four month.

Sources in Enugu Government House disclosed to Sunday Independent at the weekend that Chime left the country on Thursday shortly after the decoration of his Aide De Camp (ADC), Arthur Amobi who was recently elevated by the Nigerian Police from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). Chime decorated his ADC, assisted by the new Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr. Tonye Ebitubituwa.

Sunday Independent gathered that he left the state for a trip abroad immediately after the decoration ceremony.

Our sources disclosed that it was as a result of the governor’s absence that the Secretary to the State Government, Amechi Okolo received a high powered delegation of Senate Committee investigating the Ezu River floating corpses, on Thursday.

One of the senators on the delegation told Sunday Independent that they were told the governor was yet to fully resume work while his Deputy, Sunday Onyebuchi was away from the state

Efforts by this newspaper to ascertain the latest movement of the governor yielded no fruits at press time as state government officials contacted declined to make comments, even on condition of anonymity"

Typical Nigerians with chicken brain that can't read and process information with ease. I can attest strongly that you failed English "comprehension" class in High school woefully. If you were actually intelligent you would have sense that my post was written with respect to what happened in the past and the whole saga behind it. It's called reflective writing, as you would observed that I used a lot of "were" meaning hypothetical, something a lot Nigerians are not privy to except they were educated abroad with strong command of English Language. So please make sure you understand what you are reading next time before you comment. Those 7 people who liked my comment aren't fools but clearly got the sense of my writing.

Who forced him to return in the first place?

fogman,:
Daily Times has just been informed that the Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime has been flown abroad again following complications on his health condition.

Governor Sullivan Chime returned to Nigeria two weeks ago after spending four months in hospital abroad and since he returned, the governor has been incommunicado leaving speculations that his return in the first place was ‘packaged’ to show that he was still in control of affairs of the state.

It is not yet clear the manner in which his movement aboard was arranged and to which hospital. Daily Times will be keep you updated on this.

Culled: Daily Times
http://dailytimes.com.ng/article/breaking-news-enugu-governor-sullivan-chime-flown-abroad-again-medical-grounds

One day the political class will realise its not in thier best interest to be flying abroad every week when they have a headache. Is it not sad that there is no hospital in the country that these people can be confident will give them the same level of healthcare they expect abroad. The truth of the matter is that the Doctors abroad arent much better than the ones at home, its just the facilities and structures in place that make all the difference.

Unfortunately he is also not in good health, This is an obvious fact. As someone said earlier the pope has set a good standard.
If he has such a good legacy why can't he step-down and re-contest when fully fit, he would surely be returned to office at the polls if he is beloved by the populace as you have described. Remember the old proverb " he who fights and runs, may live to fight another day".
It is a strong proverb which reminds me of Moshood Kashimawo Abiola

My take on all these issues is blaming our leaders for lack of at least one internationally acclaimed hospital in Nigeria. Why don't we all(80 million adults of over 25years) contribute 10,000 each and build a standard hospital in Nigeria.

Shut up! You can never be from Ondo State. We know those suffering from acute low esteem, that are using names like "MALAWIAN", "IKWERRE FIRST SON", "OGONI MILITANT", IKWERRE MILITANT" and other monikers depicting them as what they are not. Only one set of people does that.
