...Apple thing is they have so much
control they allow only what they
want too when they want too.
Example, cell phones since 2005 have
been able to tether and be used as a
modem. Why did it take Apple 3
years to give you that? And now we
all have moved on to being WIFI
hotspots. Yes iPhone is capable of
doing it too, but only NOW is Apple
allow the hardware to do it. In 3
years you still can transfer ANYTHING
on iPhone using Bluetooth. Yet
phones from way back were able to
at least send contact info via
bluetooth. You can't even do that with
iphone unless you jailbreak. Flash and
Java is another issue.

Quoting one of the comments.

And for the iFans, 'rooting' is not the
same as 'jailbreaking'. Rooting allows
an Android phone user to download and
install ROM that may be compatible
with their phone to maybe get the latest
update. It may also add SOME software
features as well. Jailbreaking is
designed not only to allow you to
download apps from other sources
(Android phones can do this without
rooting mind you again), but to add
functionality of the hardware that it is
already capable of doing. Apple thing is
they have so much control they allow
only what they want too when they
want too. Example, cell phones since
2005 have been able to tether and be
used as a modem. Why did it take
Apple 3 years to give you that? And
now we all have moved on to being
WIFI hotspots. Yes iPhone is capable of
doing it too, but only NOW is Apple
allow the hardware to do it. In 3 years

from way back were able to at least
send contact info via bluetooth. You
can't even do that with iphone unless
you jailbreak. Flash and Java is another
issue.
Again its MY device. I should be able to
unlock every possible capability to get
my monies worth. For the most
expensive phone sold today to have so
many locks on it for it prices is
ludacris. and for any fool who can't see
that, you are welcome to continue being
a fool
. I choose not to be. If Apple wins
on the appeal, and jb is deemed illegal,
my iPhone will immediately go on EBAY
and I will go back to using my Android
phone or my new Windows Phone.
Apple doesn't own my phone after I
perchase it. It is not a licensed piece of
hardware. When I buy it it is mine. How
dare they continue to control what I do with it.

another Quote from one of the comments.
And meditate on the bolded.

LADEMINUS:

Smart move to sidestep simple questions with such words.... I was not questioning ur knowledge per se.. I was checking to see if you will accept that you know such, cos in so doing you will have had to admit that u r contradicting yourself.... Rooting an android is far much more difficult, its illegal nd it changes little in terms of performance of the android... That's where I was going
rooted my note 2 under 5 minutes. Wasn't hard at all grin tongue

the reason most people use android is not because it's better, it's because they cannot afford apple. it's a simple case of satchet pure water and bottled natural water.
what abt gallaxy s4, it is a costly fone 2. It is all abt choice

what are you saying, you switch to android cos u love it, but according to what you said, Apple is the best.. I used both too and I regretted buying Andriod... bullshit, Iphone is best when its come to sound, instagram, games graphics and more.... please android is loosing their market

Emm, Android is not losing market, check the charts bro, Android is growing seriously fast.

I use both Android & iPhone and they are both good. They have both grown to be quite stable and getting secure everytime. IPhone is now more customizable even when you didn't jailbreak unlike back in the days. Which is like Android.

It boils down to which ecosystem you prefer to serve your needs.

Now Android has Device Manager to help you find, locate, track and wipe your phone in real time.
