I have known this myth ever since i was 3 years old. Whenever something like a sound rings in someone's ear or eardrome, it means someone somewhere is talking about the person. So the next thing to do is to fold the left hand,and use the right hand palm to hit it and place it on the ear{the one that is ringing}, while doing this, the person will be saying this chant or prophesy. 'HE WHO IS TALKING BEHIND MY BACK, IF IT IS NEGATIVE GOSSIPS,MAY BAD THINGS BE THE PERSONS PORTION'..... And vice versa.
