Am Frank, i learnt that my parents wanted one of their son to become a priest.
In one of dreams, i saw myself in the middle of two priests, and i was anointed on my forehead by a superior priest/bishop.
Bt i didnt i jst prayd abt it, and dats all.
In those days, i like going 4 ordinations, chrism mass, bt i never wanted to acquaint myself with any priest. I have this urge bt bkus family situations i supressed it, wanting to help my family the way i can financially. As a result i ventured into businx.
Now I hav tried to get marry but always along the line will lost favor/attachmnt to any gal, which sometimes they will tell me dat i dnt hav conscience. I dnt knw what is reali the cause.
And because of my solitary way of life, my neighbors calls me 'Arch bishop.'
I went home with a gal to show my parents last 2months, hoping that i wil start marriage process this month, bt now i have lost intrest again. I dnt knw whats happening to me.

Do anything that makes you happy.....it your world.

But dont you think religion is dying across the world? Especially catholic in european countries. Fact is, you might end up bored for life but if you still want to satisfy your feelings, you good to go

It's great for someone to have the zeal to become either a priest or religious. I try as much as possible to encourage anyone who believes he/she may have a calling, but don't you think that your thoughts were greatly influenced by your 'upbringing' and the observations of people around you?

Becoming a priest/monk is dependent on God's call. If one tries to 'force' his or her way in, frustrations and dissatisfactions would be the lot of that individual. I will advice that you pray about it and try and discuss it with a priest or a religious.

Since you say you are above 30 years old, it would be a bit of a challenge to find an order of priesthood or a diocese that would be willing to accept you without a University degree. If indeed you do have a degree then there are other things you would have to consider.

Anyways, the best bet is to talk to a priest or religious about your thoughts of becoming a priest or religious.

If that's d case, I doubt very much that you have a calling. It's really not about being religious but something tells me, you won't find joy being a priest/monk.

You should talk to a priest.

talk to a priest, he should be able to help you discern ur vocation, pray about it and talk to a priest, in the religious life age doesn't matter, i'll also advice you to go on retreat in a monastry, a private retreat with a monk or priest assigned to you.
You may have a vocation.

Your chances of making it are very slim. The dice seems loded against you.
Your age now is a barrier if you have only SSCE.

And even if you were younger, the possibilty of your making it ultimately is infinitesimal given that you are a recluse.

Your reasoning that becoming a priest will help your solitary life is academic and utopian. It is scarcely obtainable in this modern time.
You can get married to a woman and have an enviable family.

One of the reasons you break up with these women might be because you still consider the priesrhood option seriously hence unwilling to make your relationships work. They said you have no conscience, it coyld be true. Will you make a good priest with no conscience?

I think it might be in your interest to focus and get married as the chances of your becoming a priest is microscopic.

Talk to a priest...but all the while, constantly talk to God.

It could be that you are called to the priesthood...or it may be that you are not.

Do not be discouraged because your chances are slim. If God wants it, it will happen one way or another.

But you must make a move.

It could also be that you are called to be married or you are not.

Try to find your vocation. If you are not called to marriage, you might not find fulfilment in it and cause misery for you and your family.

Talk to God and a priest of his.

hahaha are you a comedian, ocultism in the priesthood? U must be joking. God made every christian priest and as a catholic i believe that but he didn't make everyone a prebyter. An ordained priesthood has alway existed in the church. Through the laying of hand God has continued to make stewards and guide for his people, teachers of his mysteries and leaders in his worship.

You can join at any age,not priesthood because seminary school takes about 30years the whole shebag! But you can definitely be a monk.
