Another day but the same junk from a pseudo-sophisticated Yoruba man. When are these people going to learn that you don't fight for lousy ingrates that change like the weather because they would come back like a lynch mob to crucify you when they don't agree with you? Can someone tell this fool to shut-up and focus on his state? The governor and Lagos indigenes have spoken - keep your dimwitted opinions to yourself!

Mitch D Leo: I see this Deportation thing as rubbish Its just like asking Black Americans to leave America and return to the continent they originally came from Africa. What about beggars that were Born in Lagos are you saying they dont have a right to call themselves Lagosians. . Am not Yoruba but i was born in Lagos and raised in Lagos and am Proud to call myself a lagosian. All this tribal and ethnic things are rubbish because at the end of the day the world does not care if you are Yoruba, Igbo, or Hausa, they only care about the country you come from Nigeria.

Miscellanous:

By Gamaliel Njoku
Mr. David Obajimi Summonu, Abdul Ahmed Mustapha, Mrs Fatoke, Oracle Payment System and Governor Fashola Please Release Salary of Teachers

In what seems to be a well co-ordinated plot to misappropriate the salaries of teachers in the employ of the Lagos state Government and also frustrate them to death by hunger, the above named individuals have turned deaf ears to the cries of Lagos state teachers.

Some teachers in Lagos that have put in about 34 years in service and are to go on retirement in 2014 have had their monthly salaries—which are normally processed by Oracle Finances Company led by Abdul Ahmed Mustapha a former New York based financial services provider — stopped and delayed mysteriously. Mr Abdul Ahmed Mustapha is also the director general of Lagos State Financial Systems Management Bureau. It is alleged that he was employed through a not too transparent process to lead this bureau in 2012 after being discharged dishonorably by the City of New York.

Since his emergence as the Bureau Director, monthly salaries of teachers, assistant head teachers and teachers, one to twelve months close to retirement have systematically disappeared. Usually, the salaries are supposed to be paid into the Skye Bank account of the teachers through the Oracle payment system, however, since Abdul Ahmed Mustapha began work at the Bureau, salaries of this category of teachers have not been remitted to their bank accounts.
Some head teachers and assistant headteachers in Surulere Local government have for the past 5 months not received their salaries. Many more in Amuwo odofin and Ikeja local government are in the same situation. They were told to write an appeal to Mr. David Obajimi Summonu, the Lagos state permanent Secretary of state treasury and accountant general; which they did. Till date the only response obtained from Summonu’s office is that the payment issues is coming from the state education board led by Mrs Dauda. The affected teachers were told to petition Mrs Dauda’s office; which they did. The response from that office was very disappointing. A member of staff there was requesting for bribe of One hundred and fifty thousand naira to facilitate a meeting with Mrs Dauda.

The Surulere local government education board secretary led by Mrs Fatoke, when petitioned said there was nothing she could do about the issue as “her hands are tied.” She pointed out that the salary delay for this group of teachers could be because some of them petitioned the EFCC about the ‘pay a bribe for promotion’ going on at the local government education boards and the state education board. From her assertion, it is clear that Mrs Dauda (Lagos SUBEB chairman), Mr. David Obajimi Summonu (Lagos accountant general), and Mrs Fatoke (Surulere Local Education board) have instructed Abdul Ahmed Mustapha (Oracle Payment System) to block the salary of these teachers.

No one seems to be able to make the Oracle Payment to release the salaries of these teachers. The Lagos Commissioner for Science and Technology Mr. Adebiyi Mabadeje was petitioned to wade into the matter since his office promotes the use of Oracle Payment system to other state governments. So far, his office has not been able to help in this matter.

To further victimize this group of teachers, the Lagos state education board almost on a weekly basis has been conducting document screening of teachers, waiting for the slightest opportunity to fire them. So far none of them have been found wanting. The new strategy is to deny them promotion and withhold their salaries through oracle payment system. Oracle has electronic documentation of these teachers but still refuses to pay them.

Some of these teachers have already retired as at July and they are yet to receive their pay for their last one year of service with the Lagos state government. Their pension and gratuity is also blocked.
The Lagos state governor Tunde Fashola is being called through this medium to caution his commissioners and permanent secretaries to cease and desist from victimizing Lagos state head teachers close to retirement.
And how does this correlate with the subject of disscussion.:>:>

agbameta: These kabukabu rights lawyer and their myopic and absurd lala land dreams.

Your own Nigeria constitution sanctioned Lagos state's action and the only reason you yourself haven't sued the Lagos state government like you sue every dog and cat for even less is because you know you have no constitutional leg to base your argument on.

It's the only reason why all the noise makers and the ibo jokers talking about ultimatums conviniently forgot about their own ultimatums.

It's the only reason why GEJ remain silent like dumb and deaf

It's the only reason why the FG AG is no where to be found regarding this issue

.....

The constitution doesn't protect the rights of vagrants and folks constitutiong nuisance and undue burden on the society I'm sure this kabukabu lawyer knows a whole lot about this provision in the constitution hence not suing...

If you have money laying around to take care of every vagrant entering Lagos state with nothing better to du but constitute nuisance and undue burden on Lagosians, feel free to write some ckecks to the Lagos state government and put your money where your mouth is...

^^^^^^^ That's your constitution you dullard Mr SAN...

No be your fault. Na internet and NL give you platform to insult ppl like falana. Ordinarily you could be his aide or staff.

Moreover the constitution was talking about the freedom of movement and cases whereby the freedom could be restricted. That was no excuse for fashola's state apparatus to dump ppl at a bridge at 3am

This íڪ a clear case of one shooting himself with the same gun he made...
1. Except we are tired of this one nigeria thing, everyone have the right to live I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ any part of the country of his/her choice... Dat been said lagos state govt íڪ wrong I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ taking such decission...

2. Dis íڪ still the federal republic of nigeria, it íڪ still the responsibility of the govt, и̣̣̣̣̥‎ governors inclusive to come up with laws и̣̣̣̣̥‎ program that takes care of every citizen of this country, rich, poor, hot и̣̣̣̣̥‎ lame inclusive...
So morally wot the govt of Lagos did was wrong... Constitutionaly и̣̣̣̣̥‎ according to the same law she created, it was wrong... Let's stop being selfish и̣̣̣̣̥‎ look at matters wholistically... If lagos íڪ having issues of beggers и̣̣̣̣̥‎ co, there are better ways of dealing with it, tribalising и̣̣̣̣̥‎ segregating íڪ not the way...
I agree with falana on dis case..

I am surprised at the comments here. If the stinking government was spending money to help people instead of lining their pockets with it, there would be programs for all Nigerians that are hungry and out of work. If the government cared one tiny little bit about any of you suckers, they would be generating jobs and electricity, but NO, they don't care if you sit in the dark and put up with sputtering generators.

The truth is, the lousy government don't give a damn about any of you. Don't blame the poor, no matter where they come from. Nigeria has a renegade government full of criminals and looters, and you squawk in their defense. Put up with it with a smile on your face.
